Peggy Pettigrew Stewart
PEGGY PETTIGREW STEWART’s fascination with light, bent to release prismatic color, is evident in all of her glass art. Ranging from human face-to-glass expressions to individually themed bowls formed by kiln sculpting, sandcarving, painting and staining, and fire. She is one of just a few US instructors to teach the Verre’ Eglomise’ glass glass process & technique. Combining Cast or kiln sculpted glass, intaglio deep sandcarved, hand stained and colorization, and inlay and overlay of fine and exotic metals (gold, silver, copper).

Ms Stewart gives voice to the human spirit through her glass sculpting of Heroes Of Woodstock (™) a growing collection featuring faces of great musicians from music that defined a generation almost half a century past. She continues her decades=long fascination and experimentation with translucence and transparency with color and light.

She has studied at Pilchuck, and in Barcelona Spain. Has assisted Team Chihuly in Phoenix Az. Her work is help in museums and private collections worldwide.
