Here is offered: JENNINGS LTD. LESCO SIX Jet Turret Pre-mix professional Lampworking Bench Torch Note a different unit with an Incredibly Handy Base!
Very Good condition and hot! Individually adjustable/replaceable/re-build able nozzles
This is A jennings Lesco Burner NOT a JENCON's Rotajet of which I've imported and sold several! This is a much more sophisticated and complex unit (think VW Porsche) With some unbelievable qualities. There is a forced comparison, the similar name,Rotating Head and UK manufacture! But,they are quite different in function and adjustment. I've but 2 of these and no prospects of more. They are probably over 20 years old and were even then quite scarce. In over 500 hrs of work time I've never even had to clean a tip though ALL is rebuild-able (see pic 10 though realize I use nat gas not propane) THIS IS NOT A BURNER FOR EVERYONE! First off this is all pre-mix and as such should be used with flashback protectors. As this unit has much more adjustment It can be made to backfire. All units can. You just aren't told so. ALSO, see the 6 knurled little heads? Each one is an individual 02 adjuster for that jet. Note closeup of Head I just replaced org. pictured tips with near new ones. Also, I used standard American color coded hoses with clamps. Makes unit adjustment stiffer BUT I'll have piece of mind on YOUR safety. On this unit you set your pressure from main mini valves on right, then fine tune each jet per amount of volume for its optimal range and wala. Now, you simply turn the turret, it shuts down the 02 then brings it back with gas for the next larger or smaller jet. Purely through precise milling and internal ports. No gears to wear or lines to melt. This unit has the most amazing Base! Totally adjustable Up/Down by about an 1" and About 120% It is so cool in that the valves are on the Body and routed through to the Burner. You can have them at front or rear to the side etc. Heavy Duty and fairly slide proof though has a hole to screw secure to table. It's a neatness factor! Total readjustment to different pressure, or gas takes me now minutes for all jets. The little main volume mini needle vales are so conveniently located smooth and seat completely. Also, The tips are a near NEW* set and replaceable. On these units Most Nozzles are piloted. (little tiny jets surrounding the main one which stabilize and keep cooler and last longer but are more subject to wear when not pushed pretty hard) *PICTURES OF THE DIFFERENT SETTINGS nine through twelve are Jets 1,2,3,5, four is an even step up and 6 also not shown huge and bushy, great for tubing or warming in. These thread right in with a needle nose with little torque seat and seal as in pic 10 Yep, I know your thought, solder on or thread a multi orifice national or that type of Tip, It WORKS, have seen pictures, its a tight fit but I'll be experimenting in following months. I've as Torchkid been using predominantly Turrets for the last three years. I've now secured a Euro contact and will be importing, re-furbishing and selling as they trickle In. These TYPES Of torches throughout Europe are as popular as a cc is here. I admit to paying a lot for first one because it looked so cool! Actually, I am seen as in Last Picture with various turret Burners on F-book chat forums etc. I am bucking the current trend in larger flame surface burners but I'm Torchkid for over 35 years have been playing experimenting! You've seen these occasionally here on the bay in various states or listed in England where lack of security AND absorbent shipping cost make bidding unrealistic! I've secured a reliable contact who's warehousing glass working equipment I'm buying stock for lower shipping with service parts etc. So, Now I'm in a position to endorse what I've found to be a vastly superior Burner for hard Kg glass as I can supply that to which I'm a convert! At least in up to 11mm rod and 15 mm cladded tubing. More mass than that and I think a cannon burner still the choice of champions. These are fun. But have a short learning curve Essentially, they are premix (searingly hot) and VERY precise in sizes 1-4 with #5 a bit more bushy and 6 more a warm in or huge tube flame. See that little velcro pad had a little marvering plate with a tie-on it was quite stable, Most important is "torch Anatomy" a WMc coined phrase, briefly it means how friggin comfortable to work at! Can you get your hand close? Under it, over top etc. These are comfort aces! you can rest your wrist where others would burn you, that entire telescope looking turret has nothing to snag on and never gets even warm, GET IT? Example: I just sold my Arnold 40mm Zenit was the most adjustable from tiny to HUGe flame exact in adjustment BUT, so cumbersome, so HOT even to get hands near, yeh, great Industry torch as in I'll be getting paid to work something that un
