 As a maker I look for inspiration in everything I see, from the harsh line and muted color of urban centers to the soft flowing line and rich color found in nature. Subtle undulations, deep pitting, and heavy texture play an important role in my work.
Texture draws the eye in and tempts the viewer. It can tell a story of drama or love, and act as a reminder of a time long past. These are the reasons I'm drawn to texture and take inspiration from it.
