An Eclectic Mix

An Eclectic Mix

(MoonbeadsGlassArt)
I guess all of my beads are an eclectic mix because I don't stay with one style. I sometimes have many ideas, and sometimes I rely on my tried and true styles, which can be very relaxing because I'm familiar with the method.

Dave and I specialize in fantasy and naturalistic themes. Wearable glass paintings / sculptures of elves, fairies to the domestic pets. Even whales and mermaids.

These pendants actually have a large amount of u-glass in them, and are highly blacklight reactive. The backs have none, but the hoops are pure u-glass, and the dichro was coated in u-glass rather than clear when the cane was made.
Maude Star Pendant

Maude Star Pendant

(AlpineRiverGlassw...)
This is my "Maude". I only have a VERY small amount of her left, and I will be sad to see her gone. Anyway, here is one of my face pendants, entitled,"When Maude Wishes Upon a Star".
Fat Penguin

Fat Penguin

(AlpineRiverGlassw...)
This is the fat penguin. I make a lot of these little guys, with snowflakes in layers behind them. My photographer was trying to give the viewer a perspective of size by putting a choolate kiss next to it.
Maude's Green Dress

Maude's Green Dress

(AlpineRiverGlassw...)
This is one of my "Storybeads". Each of these have a little fairy tale attached to them. Go to my website to read this one. Anyway, I made this Maude bead, and decided she needed some funky threads.
Unearthed Series

Unearthed Series

(GlassImpact)
An encased opal is surrounded by over 10 layers of glass. A window is then cut into the pendant showing the layers of glass and the opal within. Lots of depth and detail, and they resemble a stone geode. Custom orders welcome. Wholesale available.

I don't usually keep the stuff I make for myself but this one I just had too...love the summer colors and with winter fast approaching here where I live in Alaska, this is sure to brighten up my days!
Worry Dolls

Worry Dolls

(CherCheley)
These are an idea I took from my sister. When we were kids she gave me a straw worry doll pin and told me to wear it every day. She said all my worries would disappear when the doll fell apart. Cute , but I am still worrying.
All Kinds Of Beads

All Kinds Of Beads

(JoeAndDonna)
I've tried to make round beads and don't get me wrong I can, but I have to work really hard to make a round one! Bicones really do have a mind of their own, they just make themselves while I hold the mandrel, or so it seems. So most of the round beads Joe makes, "He's an all a Round kind of guy." Me I make alot more bicones, "hmmmm" "Whats that say about Me I wonder!" :)
More Ocean Inspired Beads

More Ocean Inspired Beads

(Christina)
Here are a few more beads that I have made that remind me of the ocean. They are a little more time consuming than most but the outcome is pretty neat. Some have 3mm Gilson opal spheres and colored tentacles reaching through the clear encasement, or they just look like an Ocean Motif to me.

My boyfriend and I are now proud owners of a refurbished oxygen concentrator. I am happy to say that it has really helped me improve my beads. The flame is a bit cooler and the glass seems to like it =)
We are still building our website, but continue to list our items on ebay under Rossb600 and I have a new account Fire*Faerie. Being on the torch has been a lot of fun these past few months, thanks for stopping by!

Wine Stoppers of Lampworked Beads

Wine Stoppers of Lampworked Beads

(LindaHolcomb-Bryant)
Flame worked Italian soft glass beads. I started working with glass in 2004 and just love the process and the result. Can't wait to get back to my studio (also known as the shed), to create and play. The end result may not be the original idea I had in my mind, but I am most always pleased with the end results. I am always striving to improve and learn as much as I can about working with glass.
