Focal Hearts

Focal Hearts

Ah, this is one of my aboslute favorite pieces. I got into a real "ocean" groove this spring and a lot of the beads I ended up making were with Vetro Streaky Sapphire and the new Vetro Light Brown. I started playing around with etching with ivory and baking soda as well to get that "sandy" feel. This one obviously is not etched or with soda. The dots made me think of bubbles coming up from the ocean floor.

A Few Focals & Beads

A Few Focals & Beads

Okay, I 've been making beads since October of 2006 and this bead was a part of the very first bead set I had ever made- a friend of mine was real into the blue and brown and pink and brown, which I guess is still sorta in right now, so I made her a set with those colors. I really love this bead. Who am I kidding, I love ALL beads. :)

Going hunting.

Going hunting.

A boro disc flip bead that measures approx. 1 3/4" tall by 1" wide.
This bead features the hunting cabin where the ammenities are few but the adventures are remembered forever. No running water means the outhouse won't be far away. Ah yes the Outhouse, just around the corner.

Flower Pendant

Flower Pendant

These pendants are very simple to work. All you really have to know how to do is make, petals stick them together, and fuse to any pendant. They always come out looking cool.

Anemone Pendant

Anemone Pendant

This is actually the first piece I've ever signed. So I guess you could call it my signature piece. Very fun to make they allow you to be completely creative because you can not make two the same.

Hollow Studded Boro Bead

Hollow Studded Boro Bead

This bead was created using Momka's Infinity II, Brilliant Blue, and Unobtanium. Made with a tube and kiln annealed. Fun to make, but hard to get both sides symmetrical. I'll keep trying and post more of these. I like this style with or with out studs. The holes are about 9mm in diameter. This hollow is about an inch wide and an inch long. Pretty good size for a slider necklace.

Marble Lens Pendaant

Marble Lens Pendaant

I call these marble Lens pendants because one of the last steps in creating this bead is to encase the entire bead with a lens. Not only does it help to magnify, but it also helps in the striking process. I wish so badly that I had more pics of this bead, but to my shagrin there is is only one.

Marble Twist Focal Pendant

Marble Twist Focal Pendant

These pendants are the #1 pendant that most people request that I make for them. They are very popular! I make them in many colors and sizes sometimes I throw in some Dichroic Glass. They start out as a marble with a twist in the center, and then I just stretch and make a loop.

Lizard Beads

Lizard Beads

Lizards rock so I make a lot of them, and people seem to like them. I'm getting better each time I make one. One day I will have a method for the perfect lizard. Until then these will have to do.

Hollow Bead Textured In Water Vs. Out Of Water

Hollow Bead Textured In Water Vs. Out...

I wanted to try the underwater photo technique. The differences are amazing. Although ethically It's probably not right to portray the underwater pic as the actual bead since it may never look like this even in sunlight. So let me know if as a buyer, if this would piss you off to recieve this bead after only seeing the underwater shots? So you know I'd feel robbed.

Lovely Lily (My First!!!)

Lovely Lily (My First!!!)

This is my first lily attempt. It is about 1" inch long. Sorry about the foam, I'm going to the fabric store today. I think over the next month I am going to focus on floral pendants and mandrel beads. I will post more pics as I create these florals. I want to see how far I can take it. After all thats what it's all about. Thanks for looking!
