I just got a new camera so I'm trying to take as many pictures as possible. I hope that you guys enjoy. Any CCs are appreciated. I'm just playing around with marbles these days trying to make a full move from hollow to mostly solid work.

Implosion pendants are one of my favorite to do. The way the glass folds in on itself and virtually "blooms" is awesome. I am making a whole lot of these for Tuscon.

Froggy's! Ribbit.. Ribbit

(GuyMelamed)
The ever-evolving froggy collection! Guy doesn't make frogs everyday but when he decides to, he ends up making lots! When he tried his first frog almost two years ago, he said he was never going to make one again! But it bugged him too much so he had to keep practicing. So here you have snapshots of his most recent creatures. Playful and intricate!

This set is one of my favorites. Here I have incorporated Lavender base beads with embellishments of Red and Black. One or two have some Turquoise. Raised dots Plunged dots Stratified dot Plunged dots with raised dots of clear. By now I guess you have noticed something similar in all these beads, and it is not the color. Ah the Dots !!!!! I love working with Dots.

Bangle Beads!

Bangle Beads!

(KelleyNash.Glassb...)
This beads are a lot fun to make. What's a bangle bead? It's a bead that has a loose movable ring around the middele of another bead that is capped off at the ends so the moveable ring can't come off. After the ring is made it is slipped onto the main bead while it's being made in the flame. You have to be very careful so it doesn't get to hot and melt or get to cool and crack. Then it's capped off on the end so that the movable bead can't come off! A tricky but fun technique! If you like a challenge, this is the bead of choice! I have some examples here.....

I love to make tiger beads! Here's an example of what all can be done. There is an urn, spirit woman, lampwork ring(for your finger-which I love) and how about the mask guys! I could have kept adding and adding to this collection.

"Everything Under the Sun"

(ArtInsomnia)
I've recently fallen hopelessly in love with melting glass! I began my journey into lampworking in July 2004. I have yet to take any classes, (though I hope to one day) and have taught myself via on-line tutorials and books. I get a rush every time I light the torch, and I have a feeling it's going to be that way for a long time to come. I hope you enjoy looking at some of my beads.
Have a beady-utiful day!

The bead sets pictured here show several different styles. I try to create something new every day and in doing that, I learn something new. I try to push myself farther out of my comfort zone every day. I want to be saying "yikes" when I'm at the torch.

Zanfirico Beads. (That's Zanfirico: Zan-fear-ah-co, kinda weird I know)

(HaroldWilliamsCooney)
If I could master one thing in my glass life it would be the technique used to make these beads. I have begun making vessels with this technique and in all reality I have a lot of work to do. The Zanfirico beads have a solid color background and that is a trick that I have had only experimental success with in vessels. The Zanfirico beads sell slowly because of the price/time thing, but they have been widely published and people seem to be encouraging, telling me to keep working on them and my vessels with the same look. I have seen a few finished pieces strung up with Zanfirico beads and I am always impressed that somebody has spent all that time with my glass work. For me, this is the oddest part of being a lampworker; people do stuff with my stuff. They wear it, they string it, they drink out of it, or they put it on a shelf. God bless them.
