Colors of the desert sunrise, sunset & minerals appear suspended in this glass. Earth Wind Sky & Water series based on the artist's interpretation of Hopi storytelling. Plasma fusion glass - 20" diameter, 5/8" thick fused and open kiln hand manipulation.

"Endangered" is a crystal cullet from a remote glass factory in northern France which I have hand engraved with a selection of the top most endangered bugs in the UK. Apart from polishing the harshest edges, I kept it in its raw state. A percentage of the proceeds of its sale will be going to buglife.org.uk . This piece was shortlisted for the 2007 Glass Sellers Engraved Award.
Presently on Exhibition and for sale at London Glassblowing in the Glass Sellers Award Exhibition.
"The Cullet was in danger of being destroyed in a remote glass factory in Northern France, I was offered the opportunity to save it. The bugs are in the top 20 in the list of endangered bugs. The bugs are delicate and fragile as is the cullet itself. I did not know whether it may shatter during engraving and become extinct, as the bugs may be doomed but just may survive as long as they are protected, protect this cullet and these bugs may last forever."

The face and spirit of the Hopi faces the wind. The spirit rides free among the wind, sky, water & earth. This piece is formed from a life cast of Lance, a member of the Blue Sun Clan. This piece is Plasma Fusion glass, fused & kiln formed.

Fused & kiln sculpted glass. 20" diameter, 5/8" thick. Fused and kiln sculpted. Running rivers across the rocks are depicted in this earthy piece. Intaglio (reverse) sandcarved, and handpainted. Inlaid with copper as a finishing touch.

my first pate de verre with lead crystal glass. this was a rewarding experience making it and I hope to perfect this tecnique as I like the texture. the piece is 24 in by 12 in. the glass is about 1/4 in thich so this makes it hollow on the backside. I am still inventing ways to present the piece so please share any ideas.

One of my first piece. It says how my glass story started... The blue caracter is....me :-)
Suddenly The Glass was on my way. What to do then ?, can i ? You know how much time this material asks, how much experiments, joy and broken pieces, always astonished all the possibilities it offers.

I didn't want to play and fight with glass for glass, but to tell stories (i like fairy tales ;-) ), some dramatic and others sweet .
I hope you will enjoy ...
