Venusian Landscape Series

(EricEhlenberger)

The purple back-lit terrain is brushed aluminum with a shimmering overcoat of translucent golden paint and the sky is brushed aluminum with planetary glass lenses backlit with neon. The lake is translucent silicone lit from behind with aqua neon. 48" x 32"
Glass Tree

Glass Tree

(BenBurton)
Here's a tree I made last night. It's the biggest one by far that I've done like this. It's all solid. I used Twilight, Peacock, and Agua Azul for the whole thing. It stands about 10 inches tall by ten inches wide. It's the first tree I've made that's not brown and green. I like it!! It's a wedding gift for a couple who both work for the Forestry Service on the mainland. maybe they'll use it to hang jewelry on... I hope you like it.

Aloha!

Lamps Project

Lamps Project

(M.Grecheck)
I started toying around with the idea of lighting with glass. I wanted to do more with it than just the usual/formal type of accent or decorative lighting concepts. This set up was interactive to sound, the more and louder the sounds people made around it, the faster and more violently the lights reacted on the pattern they were on .
I plan on coming back to this later when I have more available time to experiment in the hot shop- and when I can figure out how to clean up the raw kinks.

Finding Forgiveness

Finding Forgiveness

(FlowingDesigns)
"Finding Forgiveness" is a child like art style and a beautiful depiction of truth. Lavish amounts of gold leafing make this piece extremely hard to photograph. The detail and radiance are not done justice here. If anyone one can give me pointers on how to photograph this better it would be appriciated. This was shot in a dark room, no light and still there is so much glare.
Another Brick In the Wall

Another Brick In the Wall

(StratisphereGlass...)
This mermaid was a custom piece done in a house with various other sea themed creations. The wall it was mounted in faces the living room and on the other side a guest room. The mermaid has a piece of window glass front and back in the block to keep dust off and to keep curious fingers from poking at it. Each block in the wall is about 7.5".

This webbed seafan was flame slumped into a bowl for a christmas present to give to my brother-in-law for x-mas... USPS put a hole thru the box and "Modified It" on it's way so I had to last minute re-blast it... thanks again for the hospitality man... you know who you are

I started creating stained glass windows back in the 90"s, but my latest work is with painted images. These are painted using glass powder and then fired in a kiln. Commissions undertaken. More pictures to follow in next few days.

(vermontglass)
these are some simple examples of work I have done.I have spend the past ten years working in the furnace for a Vermont company. I have explored a bit outside of the factory. Now I am ready to commit myself more to my own path with glass. Throughout this next year I am going to push myself to see where the skills I have developed can take me. I have always loved glass. Since starting in the factory at the age of 19 I have told myself there are so many more ways to express yourself in this amazing medium. Now im 29 and ready to explore. I cant wait to see what happens.

Delft Box

Delft Box

(BlueGinkoGlassworks)
A friend and exceptionally supportive customer of mine was looking to have a box crafted for his mom for Christmas 2007. I'm a little embarrassed to report it was finished in February 2008 (sigh). But it is done and delivered, it was fun to make and while it was kindof painful working with little glass pieces I do really enjoy meticulous detail in glass. The box is inspired by delft patterns on kitchenware. Enjoy.
