Pendants 05-06

Pendants 05-06

(MattHess)
These are some of my Boro. pendants from 05-06. Some are made with D.A. dichro. My girl friend claims most of the ones that I make so I have to hide them.
Begonias........

Begonias........

(Christina)
This necklace was made on Soft Flex beading wire and has swarovski crystals, faceted garnets, iridized seed beads in magenta, Bali silver beads, and my lampworked beads all incorporated. It is also terminated with a sterling silver clasp. It was a Christmas present for my Grandma whom grows so many beautiful Begonias.
Penny Gentle

Penny Gentle

Working in glass comes on the heels of a few other media I have been involved in over my lifetime. It seems to be the greatest and most rewarding challenge yet, to work with molten glass, metals, reactive glasses and frits. There is the hope here of creating something unusual, beautiful and desirable..and it is probably less than two inches in any direction! If only we could always be happy with just a tiny treasure to hold our attention and devotion.
My work has evolved over just a year and a half. I work many hours at a time four days weekly and often in the evenings, or I study whatever resources I can find. I usually create jewelry from my beads and only recently have been making beads that stand on their own merit...perhaps another creative person will complete their voyages for them!

Copper Head

Copper Head

(NewberyArtGlass)
I have been working on bridging the gap between Glass and Metal with this combination. Finally finding success I just had to share them.
These are inside out boro pendants, with copper formed bands or cap.

SeaScape

SeaScape

(JewelsByLDesigns)
This beautiful necklace features one of a kind glass lampwork beads of blue/greens and swirls of dichroic glass throughout. Also accompanying the glass is round faceted quartz, pale green quartz rondelles and solid sterling silver accents. This necklace measures 20 inches in length and secures with a sterling silver heart lobster clasp.

Floral implosions for the Spring of 2006

Floral implosions for the Spring of 2006

(Mr.Smiley)
These are some implosion pendants I revisited. I haven't done implosions in a while, so I needed to brush up. I'm teaching a few classes this spring and should at least show up ready to demo... LOL
Rose Bud Bracelet

Rose Bud Bracelet

(FyreBeadz)
These are my very first roses. I am very happy with the result and sold this immediately on ebay just a couple hours after it was listed. It truely is a beautiful piece of jewelry and I hope the new owner loves it as much as I do. This was torched with Moretti glass and then I worked this into a charm style bracelet along with Swarovski Crystals and sterling beads and sweet sterling heart charms. The clasp is an awesome sterling rose box clasp I found in Tucson at one of the bead shows this year.
My first Cuff bracelets.

My first Cuff bracelets.

I just recently bought a bracelet mandrel from Winship Designs and these are the first that I have made so far. I can see having a lot of fun with these!

“Intergalactic Spacelet”

“Intergalactic Spacelet”

(StephanPope)
Upon my explorations of the dark star region of deep space
I find myself wanting to go further and further.....
Wan... to explore space more I came up with my new “Intergalactic Spacelet”series. ... one has a different view or perspective of deep space with 3-D planets, stars, vortex’s, and lots of space dust.
They were a total blast to create.
Looking forward to making more of these....
Hope you enjoy!

Dichroic Glass & PMC Inclusions

Dichroic Glass & PMC Inclusions

(GeltDesigns)
What a discovery! While playing with PMC, I learned that dichoric glass reacts with the PMC to turn a gorgeous gold-- but only if you use the right amount of PMC. The wrong PMC combinations result in chipping or ugly air bubbles. The failures were worth it; look how enchanting is the proper formula. Paired with freshwater pearls and a custom 14kt gold clasp, this necklace glows with possibilities!
White Dichroic and Quartz Necklace

White Dichroic and Quartz Necklace

(amyD)
All fused beads are white with a layer of clear dichroic, fused, cut, and polished. The necklace is designed by me with sterling silver, quartz chips, and clear irid glass beads.
A New Series

A New Series

(KariLittle)
This is a series I am working on using Borosilicate glass in organic shapes. Learning to develop the color was one of the catalysts for me. I am excited to see how it will evolve! There is more to come ....
A House of Your Own

A House of Your Own

(GeltDesigns)

The word was “urban.” The challenge was to design and construct a piece of jewelry reflecting the word.

This is the result. A pin made of PMC and then riveted and fabricated to create the illusion of urban housing, lined up in a row.

Boro Chain Link

Boro Chain Link

(RoSGlassWorld)
Chain link necklaces sculpted in borosillicate glass. I have a facination with these, more to come! I am testing a bracelet to see if its sturdy enough.
