Aqua Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant

Aqua Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant

(KasCreations)
This piece has the colors of salmon, and teal to its dichroic glass. The base glass is Aqua and is accented by round sterling silver wire and a few aqua beads. This is a larger piece and measures 2" x 1". The bail is silver plated and will accommodate up to a 4mm chain. If you like a little bolder piece, this is the one.

Sky Blue Fused Glass Pendant

Sky Blue Fused Glass Pendant

A Continuous fluid motion is the setting of this sky blue fused glass pendant. The blue base glass gives you the feel of the blue sky, makes you relax just looking at it. The silvertone setting gives it that feel of the earth in motion. The Dichroic glass is a teal and blue color and gives depth to the piece. The pendant is 2" x 1 1/4". A beautiful peaceful pendant for your collection.

This is a cased floral focal, banded in jet black. I really enjoy the technical challanges involved in creating the dimension and color combinations in thess types of pieces. I typically string them vertically with Silver cap findings.

It is fun creating mini fused glass and turning it into jewelry. When I found there was not enough interest locally for pendants I began to turn the pendants into necklaces by adding beads and other adornments. Now people love my necklaces but are buying my pendants... Go Figure!

The idea for the bracelets came so interestingly I'll start there. I was working on a series of lovely but dangerous three-dimensional glass flowers, sculptures that featured cut glass on edge. I had been experimenting with fusing barbed wire between sheet glass in the kiln with interesting results, but I knew nothing about hard-glass (borosilicate, familiar as Pyrex), nor about torch-working.
One day out of the blue I saw in my mind's eye a silhouette of a glass bracelet. It was exquisite. I had never seen anything like it but I was intrigued by its beauty and the apparent contradiction of wearing glass, a material assumed to be so fragile. With a little investigation I discovered the extraordinary strength of industrial glass and got an introduction to basic lamp working through a woman with tremendous grace on the torch, Theresa Kowalski. My brother Steve Miller set me up on his welding torch. This was 1983. I have been making bracelets ever since.

Blue Fused Wire Wrapped Pendant

This stunning fused glass pendant has the colors of the rainbow in the Dichroic glass. It is wrapped in square sterling silver wire and hangs from a 4mm sterling silver 18" omega. This is a real eye catcher and truly one-of-a-kind piece. A beautiful piece for a beautiful lady. The pendant measures 1 3/4" x 1". Add this lovely piece to your collection

Modern Mosaic Round Dichroic Pendant

Modern Mosaic Round Dichroic Pendant

(GlassHouseJewelry)
Layers upon layers of dichroic glass pieces give this pendant it's unique patchwork look. It is absolutely striking in apprearance and there will never be another one like it!

This is a solid piece made of numerous tiers of clear and dichroic glasses. Then it is shaped in the glass grinder to give it those great edges and round shape. Finally it is returned to the kiln one last time to be fire polished. Only compatible glasses are used to ensure strength and durability of every piece I make. Pendant measures 2" round diameter and is attached to a silver plated bail. It weighs 1.2 ounces. While it is a solid weight, it is not enough that it will weigh or pull on your neck.

Here are some more of the fused glass pendants. These are mainly ones made from traditional glass (no dichro). Again with some I have experimented with multi-layering to achieve some nice depth effects.

The pendants are hollow and can be used to hold essential oil or even hung from a rear view mirror with a little flower in them. So much fun to make. All hand blown borosilicate glass.

I finished this one on the full moon last weekend. Handmade kiln-formed dichroic glass pendant strung on Amethyst beads with a Sterling Silver toggle clasp.

Tidal Pool Jewelry Collection

Tidal Pool Jewelry Collection

(DenaultGlassStudios)
Fused Glass, Sterling Silver

This collection is inspired by the various colors and life that can be found in the many tidal pools found on the beaches throughout the coast. The sandy yellow base is accented with a “pool” of light blue that changes to a deep purple as the light dances across it much like it does as it flickers across a tidal pool trapped in the sand over the course of the day.

Winter Light Jewelry Collection

Winter Light Jewelry Collection

(DenaultGlassStudios)
Fused Glass, Sterling Silver

This collection is inspired by the way the light falls over a fresh snowfall in the winter. Growing up in New England I have seen my share of snow and experienced my share of winter weather. The beautiful color used as the base of this piece shifts in color from a light winter blue to a deep purple. This collection strives to reflect some of the elegance found in a New England winter.
