Vessels1
(
PaulLabrie
)
These are some of our lidded vessels I have been working on. I enjoy the dynamics between blowing, sculpting, and lampworking. Colors are new for me for the most part, as most of my work in the past has been large clear work.

Blue moon and amazon night powder, with elvis and blue moon tentacles. Frozen for eons in the shards of a cold and distant world, an ancient creature breaks free of it's icy tomb....

Bashi & Cuatro Perfume Bottle Collab
(
CuatroKruse
)
Bashi and I have been collaborating through the mail recently, He made the perfume vase and I made the stopper. Silver fume and unobtainium are the main colors used, with some light teal as well. Bashi is fun to work with, our collaborations have given me many new ideas to work on. I look foreward to more mail work in the future!

I recently etched this for the Vegas marble show. I'm sure I will be doing more of these!
All of the images are from marbles that I have made. Hope you enjoy!

Marble display jars
(
ShellNeisler
)
These jars have been constructed to display marbles specifically. They sit heavy and sturdy on the table becuase the foot is solid. I have added a slight bevel to the bottom to make a lip for them to rest on to make sure that they sit really flat. The bowls are made from heavy wall tubing and the wall thickness has been carefully preserved to make sure that they can support the weight of alot of marbles. The lids are blown and fit right inside of the bowl lip. Each jar comes with one small cane marble that matches the marbles on the stem and lid. Enjoy!

T-Dub, Double B's, and some Kaj Chi
(

)
Travis Weber, Ben Burton, Kaj Beck collaboration. We had a lot of fun with this one. Travis made one of his "tribsl skin" marbles, Ben made the sea horse and coral marble, the cane and vessel assembly was my duty. 17 inches tall

Bambu too

The sound of wind through the bambu,
suddenly, like a thunderclap,
the cricket stops singing.
These are more bottles based on bamboo. Smaller than the previous ones ... but they've been keeping me amused.

holy grail
(
BerndWeinmayer
)
In the third workshop with Ed Kirshner we developed our first footvase "holy grail" 2005. Since that time I improved the light effects and tested different gas mixtures for a bigger color spectrum. The most fascinating thing in this work are the moving light effects (plasma). The patterns of the "treepot" for example is turning left in the top and turning right in the foot. The vases are between 30 to 90cm high

'Anti-Vase 1' by Mark Leputa
(
MarkLeputa
)
The first in a new series, 'Anti-Vase 1' is my way of making something functional into a nonfunctional piece of sculpture. By cutting and polishing holes in the vessels sides it eliminates the ability to hold water thus eliminating the vessels ability to maintain life in whatever to should put in it. The holes also allow a breathe of fresh air in the form of negative space.
