Custom Wine Stoppers

Custom Wine Stoppers

(DeMoss)
Here are a couple of custom wine stoppers I have made. One for a friend with the initials "PG" in the top and the other is my last name "DeMoss". Let me know if anybody would like to have one made.
BOTTLE STOPPERS

BOTTLE STOPPERS

(TravisWeberGlass)
Here is one of my bottle stoppers. These have been my focus for the last few years and I love em but have recently shifted my focus to the marble world.

Credit for the sick bottoms must be given to Jeff Rogers. He mounts these with system he created.

Wine Stoppers of Lampworked Beads

Wine Stoppers of Lampworked Beads

(LindaHolcomb-Bryant)
Flame worked Italian soft glass beads. I started working with glass in 2004 and just love the process and the result. Can't wait to get back to my studio (also known as the shed), to create and play. The end result may not be the original idea I had in my mind, but I am most always pleased with the end results. I am always striving to improve and learn as much as I can about working with glass.
Lizzard Wine stopper

Lizzard Wine stopper

(LilBitAGlass)
I've done a few frogs for the Airport Gallery and a few local shops and I thought it can't be that much more difficult to do a little lizard, same body structure almost, right?
Flower Implosion

Flower Implosion

(LilBitAGlass)
I've been on a kick lately making alot of these, I'll try not to flood the boards with to many of them at once. They are fun to make. Thanks for looking.
Memories

Memories

(TravisWeberGlass)
This stopper is about two years old. I made it in early 2004. It was a huge turning point for me. When I finished it I had never seen anything like it and I was super excited. It set me off in a whole new direction. I just got my first computer in December on 2005 so I was limited in the work that I had seen from others. Didn't even know what Glass Artists.org was. Maybe that was a good thing. I really don't know. But it keep me sheltered from all the other work out there and focus on my own work. It's was a trade off. Developing my own ideas vs. not seening or being part of the progression the rest of the glass world. i guess I wish I had been more involved earlier on but I can't regret cause thats the way it went down. For a reason I am sure.
Wedding Heart Wine Stopper

Wedding Heart Wine Stopper

(MosaicMadness)
This mosaic bottle stopper is a perfect guest favor either given alone or tied to a bottle of your favorite bubbly or vinegar. Made of metal, our wine stopper features a red heart and pale pink background of vitreous tile.

"I'm goin', I'm goin' where the water tastes like wine. Well, I'm goin' where the water tastes like wine. You can jump in the water and stay drunk all the time."

Different styles of stoppers. All have rubber grommets to ensure a tight fit. Custom handmade stands for store fronts come with larger batches.

Stoppers and More Wine Stoppers!

Stoppers and More Wine Stoppers!

(JoeAndDonna)
Here are some wine stoppers that Joe has been working on. He's doing a fine job of his flowers. Oh yeah the butterfly is mine. As you can tell there is more Dichro than anything, Joe loves working with it.
Bottle / Wine Stoppers

Bottle / Wine Stoppers

These are my first endeavors into wine stoppers. I really like the "medallion" look to these, as well as it being a way to really showcase the centers.
if these don't get bought up.. i'll sure have lots of christmas presents!
(sorry about the glare!)

fall leaves bottlestopper series

fall leaves bottlestopper series

(Gypsea)
changing seasons, changing colors, the sensual twists of the falling leaves as they dance and crackle in the wind....

this series was inspired by my friend dr. ed who gifted me with a treasure box of colored scrap...which i melted down and reformed into this series of autumn leaves bottle stoppers. there is something very sensual about the curved leaf shapes, and with the use of frit and varied colors, they have a great organic feel. i enjoy creating these so much that i have incorporated this into a regular product line.

The top down views are what the stopper looks like top down, the side views are exactly how they will be finished.
(in other words, the top down views are not mounted on the stopper as they appear to be)

Twister

Twister

(MidwestCustomGlass)
Here is a collection of wine stoppers i have been doing. These are different from a lot of the others out there because I have used 1 karat CZ's in these pieces, it really added an amazing look to these. If interested in purchasing please contact me by email.
Dual Color Spiral w/ dichroic glass or fumed gold leaf

Dual Color Spiral w/ dichroic glass or fumed gold leaf

(MidwestCustomGlass)
Here is a different style of the twisted wine stoppers, these will either have a bulb of dichroic glass or fumed gold leaf glass, they are held by clear rods that follow the same spiral as the colors do. Once again i appoligize for poor picture quality, im working on that...
