Wild Fire Lamp

(WildFireDesigns)
Floor standing lamp of fused Dichroic glass and Bubinga exotic wood..... Made in 3 layers of glass- thin clear base, middle section of reds, orange and yellow. Then a clear iridized cap. The column is made from an exotic wood called figured Bubinga- it shimmers almost as much as the Dichroic!

Look at my knobs!!!

(FullCircle)
I have been thinking about knobs for nearly a year. I've made a few but haven't been really stoked by any of them until now!!!! These knobs make me happy and there are lots more knobs in my head waiting to come out!

Blooming Flower Chandelier

(JoshuaOpdenaker)
Custom made light-chandelier. Lampworked glass. 4x3.5x3.5 feet. The client was extremely trusting, considering I only gave her a scratchy, crudely drawn blueprint. The next light will be the same setup, only flipped to be a table-top lamp. Thanks for checking it out. jop

Starburst Chandelier and Sconce

(JoshuaOpdenaker)
Starburst Chandelier and Sconce. The chandelier alone has 225 points assembled to a large welded steel frame. Around five feet tall, each point is sandblasted and hand oil painted. The sconce has twelve points created in the same style. Custom order that took twelve hours to assemble on-site. Thanks for looking, and more importantly thanks to the Bucci's for supporting this artist.

Flowing Designs

(FlowingDesigns)
Uniquely created for the sophisticated design pallet. Custom tailored with comfort and casual living in mind. The vibrant colors, imagery and textures add interest and intrigue to any area of your home. The Old World Style is warm, inviting and says "Welcome Home". The possibilities are as endless as nature and captured only by one's imagination.

Each piece in the Medearis Collection is one of a kind, hand crafted, cataloged, and signed by the artist.

Finger/Toes

(JoshuaOpdenaker)
I want the viewer of this piece to do decide whether these sculptural elements are representations of fingers or toes. Each piece is not joined to any other, making the installation and display variable. Dimensions vary, but it can be estimated that the largest finger/toe is the size of a hand and the smallest the size of a pinky.

The Making of Argyle

The Making of Argyle

(WildFireDesigns)
A Chair in the Making

This piece was commissioned by the YWCA in Williamsport, PA for their Chair-ity auction. I have based the design on a high backed chair design of turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau furniture artist and acrhitect Charles Renee Mactintosh. Mr. Macintosh has always been an inspiration to my work. So my take on his chair design, hopefully, pays him the utmost respect.

Lamp Tall Blue

Lamp Tall Blue

(KHK)
You can see a black clear agate slice on the Top of my newest Lamp Tall Blue. The clear part has a bubble-pattern with a black island in the middle. This slice is cut from the same stone as the slice in the Lamp Big Blue. You also can see this lamp in one of the other galleries here.

The Lamp Tall Blue is made out of one piece of blue white clear Spectrum Baroque glass plate BR/603, it is cut into nine stripes and them were grind to mitre (not only bevel edged). Therefore it shows this perfect, ongoing blue white pattern on its tall body.

The tallest stripe is 26,5 mm width by 554 mm height. Although its great polished Agate slice is 7 mm thick and this glass can be over 4 mm thick the seams on my lamp are only about 3 to 4 mm. .
Only this extreme accuracy on an imprecision glass material like this double leaded Baroque glass can makes this real.

The Lamp is 624 mm high, only 125 mm width and on the base 114 mm deep;

the agate slice is 123 mm width with 166 mm height and 7 mm thick.

Indian Summer Glass Table

Indian Summer Glass Table

(WildFireDesigns)
A fused glass and metal table commissioned by friends of mine with an Indian spirt theme. Each fused panel symbolizes a different spirit: The Sun for Fire, Waves for Water, Mountains for earth, Swirling clounds for Sky.The metal frame was made by Leiloni Designs. It came together nicely, matching the colors of my friends' beautiful Southwest home.
Argyle Art Nouveau Chair

Argyle Art Nouveau Chair

(WildFireDesigns)
Inspired by the high backed chair design of renowned turn-of-the-century furniture artist and architect Charles Renee Macintosh is my version of his beautiful chair. Argyle is made of curly (or Tiger stripe) Purpleheart exotic wood (a rare form of Purpleheart) with fused Purple Dichroic glass inset panels. Commissioned by the Y.W.C.A. in Williamsport, PA for their Chair-ity auction.
Flaming face table

Flaming face table

(candimartin)
A face anchors this piece as flames shoot out in all directions. The entire surface is covered with many different colors and textures. The edge is completely finished for maximum effect. This looks great with a light under it.
Octagon table

Octagon table

(candimartin)
This is a large octagon-shaped table that features bright colors in a striking abstract design. It is multi-colored, mosaic glass done on a clear glass table top. You can put a light under this glass table and it will illuminate the colors.
Small bedside table

Small bedside table

(candimartin)
Purple, green and blue colors meld together to make a tranquil mosiac creation. This would make a perfect bedside table. The base is wicker and the top is the purple, green and blue mosaic glass.
Dolphin Lamp

Dolphin Lamp

(KHK)
The inimitable Dolphin Lamp is made
out of one piece of Spectrum Baroque glass. The disk has to be cut into thin, long stripes and grindet to mitre to build the column with the ongoing pattern. The 5.5 mm thick brown agate slice on the top of this lamp looked at me like a dolphin and gave the lamp its name. The lamp is 577 mm (22 3/4 inch) high, has a width of 178 mm and a depth of 125 mm.
