~Reticell-O-Sphere #2~
(
Bashi
)
The second entry in the "Retticell-O-Sphere" series. This time around the retti is more defined and I added some Unobtainium around the equator to give that touch of sparkle. When viewing in good light you can see all the way through the poles which gives this marble a truly ethereal appearance.

~Rose And Reticello~
(
Bashi
)
This marble is a collaboration between Eugene Oregon artists Michael Sorenson and Bashi. The features of this marble include-
Rose with stem by Michael, silver fumed reticello with a ruby background and Caramel/Amber Purple pinwheels by Bashi. Marble was donated to the annual Eugene Glass School art auction. 2''

This double sided marble features A cobalt/white reticello, switchback plate and pinwheeled border. The cobalt developed some interesting red undertones from it's long soak in the kiln. 2''

Vorcello ( Marriage of Vortex and Ratty)
(
TravisWeberGlass
)
1 & 3/4 I had to put this one in two categories. I have had this one on my mind for awhile. This is a vortex that has a reticello built around it. I think this one is worth developing. The vortex should to be reworked with a fresher concept but I got to start some where. The coolest part is pulling the termination for the vortex and the ratty at the same time.

More Reticellos 2006
(
ChrisRoesinger
)
This summer I was hired to deomonstrate marble making at the Virginia Highlands Festival. So, I spent about two months heavily focused on a variety of marble designs. Here are some of my favorite reticellos from the endeavor.
In addition, I will be teaching at Carlisle School of Glass Feb. 9 -10 and Feb. 11 - 12, 2007. The first two day class will cover focal pendants. The second class will be marbles and some sculpture. Visit Carlisle's website for registration and further details. I will also be teaching a 5 day intensive workshop at the Revere Glass School in Berkeley, Ca. March 19 - 23, 2007. This class will begin with focal pendants and jewelry design, transition to marbles, and end with sculptural designs. The intention is to piggy back techniques in order to drive home the main points and to expand one's repetoire of skills. Visit Dustin Revere's website for further details.
Thank you for taking the time to look. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or ordering

Reticello Marble
(
JDAnderson

Nice Reticello marble. It really took longer than I expected, because of the injury to my finger. All in all, it turned out nice. Did not finish it because I ran out of gas, so the dots on the back were not twisted. Oh well, I still like this one. Thank you for looking. JDAnderson

Vorcello # 2 & # 3
(

Oh yes these are fun when they pull together nicely. These first one is 2 inches and the second is 1 & 3/4. I made one the other day and forgot to turn the kiln on . I thru it in the cold kiln and flipped it on. It blew up!! I always need a reminder to keep me on my toes.
