Northern Lights

(DeMoss)
Imagine laying in hammock on a warm summer night in the far north. Looking around you can see the beautiful pine forest that surrounds you, and the spectacular northern lights above (including a large piece of space debris).

This piece is 1 7/8"

Down The Rabbit Hole We Go!!!!!!!

(DeMoss)
This marble is 2 7/32" and is filled to the brim with craziness for your viewing pleasure. The babbling brook flows from deep in the rear and ends up flowing over an opal boulder. The banks of the stream are the perfect environment for the colorful boro mushrooms that have began to sprout up. In the distance you can see the trees lining the valley. And finally take a look up in the sky and you will see the hole that you fell through, Alice.

This marble has a solitary Palm Tree growing on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean!! There's a little cove that forms is own whirlpool in this one as well!! A pinwheel pattern of sunset colors decorates the back, while the bottom of this marble is covered with ocean blues, raked and pinwheeled churning up the water.. Measures 1 13/16 inch.

Thanx for looking!!!

A Vacation at last!!!

(BenBurton)
These are some of the Paradise Marbles I took to the Vegas show this month.

November 2007

I had a chance to work with travis Weber for a few days this summer and I learned a lot from him about keeping my surface work clean. The raking patterns are a result of what he showed me, and are very much inspired by his work. Thanx Travis I appriciate your pointers!

Aloha!

Over the Hills

(DeMoss)
Here is a large marble with a lot going on. There are a few different levels of scene that you can drive through. The highway goes over a couple of different hills and into a couple of valleys. There are several fireworks going off in the distance (one actually explodes a little close for comfort between the two hills.

I've been doing a lot of these scene's lately because I found some murrinni's that I made when I first started working with glass, and I decided to use them to make some cool things.

Title: Haloing Rainbows #2
S.E. (special edition)
Size: 1 1/10Th of an inch
By J McGhee 2006

This special edition is the true testament of fuming silver and gold in the perfect combination.
This marble is stunning no matter how when and where you look at it. The fuming has a perfect glow to it.

The inside pattern is a cascading waterfall of rainbow fuming, trailing all the way down to a rippling spiked pool of vibrant brilliant neon rain bowed fuming, that splash back up to you. Truly amazing….

Colors range from blue, two greens, yellow, orange, purple, and red.
Remember that all the color inside was made by fuming gold and silver on to the glass then trapping the fume under a layer of clear, that I let cool down then I reheat to let the crystals grow and form these wonderful colors.

The backing is a black base covered by OG sparkle and an Atlantic blue sparkle, the patterning is a continuing connecting pinwheel pattern.

A new series I've been working on for about a week or so now. I made one of these over a year ago and I liked the idea, but I had to take some time away and rethink it a little. I'm super psyched with these now! Thanks for looking...

Gaia's Swan Song

Gaia's Swan Song

(DeMoss)
A lone wolf in the forest sings in front of a full moon for the last time as two asteroids plummet nearer and nearer to Earth. In the background you can see explosions and vortex's as everything we know comes to an end. Or is it all coming to a new beginning? We may never know, but we thank the wolf for Gaia's Swan Song.

This is a 2 3/8" member of my Deep Space Vortex Series. I have some more cool ideas that you should see soon. I hope you enjoy this. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

This was supposed to be a flowr marble but then I realized it kinda looked like some jelly fish marbles that kobuki makes. It was fun to make regardless.
