------------... she held his orb in her hands. A generous three inches, Aureole was excited to have a big one again.

This sphere was Big Bang fourteen. He sent Aureole these maps after each of the explosions. Magical like all the others, this thermo-fused cosmic map was an encrypted in crystal and chemically etched message from his heart. It was created with the deepest hope that someday she might find her way home again or even survive.

Fume Flowers

(Anakin)
In the beginning, my obsession with marbles was fueled by John Kobuki and Sabina's flowers. As I developed some of my own designs, I got away from flowers. I've been spending some quality time lately trying to perfect flower techniques. At the same time, I'm trying to develop new styles and applications of gold and silver fume. I am quite happy with the results. Have a look. Lemme know what you think.

...with Frit - 1.75" made 9-20-2006

It's really hard to catch, on camera, the full effect of the depth in this one...

There are so many different light/effect combinations.

In the second to last image you can somewhat see the inside (hidden) layers of frit.

Frosty the marble

This marble was inspired by the first, it was sandblasted with a window cut in the front to expose the implosion w/ marquis opal. Not to fond of the sandblast, but people seem to like it.

Endangered Mysteries Marble#6 of 50

(JahFree)
I really like the neon green fume, it's a color that I like and in the past had a hard time achieving. I also love opals, and my fascination with them has inspired me to create the "Endangered Mysteries" series

....thanks for looking

---------... looked back over her shoulder.

What she was watching in her lens was familiar.

Since the beginning of the Exploding Planets she had been on the run, planet hopping, galaxy shifting; as the known universe collapsed, imploded, and reorganized its forces.

northern lights #1 for 06

(JMcghee)
Title: northern lights #1 for 06
Size: 1 ¼ inch
Signed J McGhee 06 #1 of 10

This marble came out so nice I used gold and silver to create some of the nicest colors fuming can create.
The pattern the inside is a streaming beautiful blue and green haloing crown.
That splashes into a sea of orange, green and a pearl essence pool of fuming.
The backing is a grape base coat, with OG moss (sparkling green) pinwheels with a controlled air trap in each center.
Three blue sparkling teardrops between each pinwheel, and one honeycombed center dot.
This marble is part of my northern lights series.
It is #1 of 10 from my 2006 series…
It is signed by the artist
J McGhee 06’ #01

Hope u enjoy this marble as much as I did making it…

Title: Haloing Rainbows
S.E. (special edition)
Size: 1 1/5 Th of an inch
By J McGhee 2006

This special edition is the true testament of fuming silver and gold in the perfect combination.
This marble is stunning no matter how when and where you look at it. The fuming has a perfect glow to it.

The inside pattern is a cascading waterfall of rainbow fuming, trailing all the way down to a pool of brilliance of neon rainbow fuming, that splash back up to you. Truly amazing….

Colors range from blue, two greens, yellow, orange, purple, and red.
Remember that all the color inside was made by fuming gold and silver on to the glass then trapping the fume under a layer of clear, that I let cool down then I reheat to let the crystals grow and form these wonderful colors.

The backing is a grape covered by a silver beach dot pattern.

Momka's new colors

(ChristopherRice)
I made this using Momka's new Gypsea Queen and brown sparkle. Really sweet colors!! Here's my input on the new colors, thanks Momka!!

Gypsea Queen: I really love these pre-pulled mixed colors. All the colors are very smooth, and when worked in the right flame atmosphere there are no bubbles at all. They will bubble at higher temps, but if you take your time it's smooth as butter.

Brown Sparkle: I love sparkles, and this one is right up there. Lots of sparkle and no cracking issues at all so far. Very smooth, and the brown becomes more translucent when pulled into smaller stringers, which can definately be used to your advantage. Another great color!!
