We're always looking for disorienting places, that's why I've started making images representing my own brain trip.
Things, cliché and life are the lifeline of my work.

I am 29 and have been working glass since 97. With a year off somewhere between that was not by choice but by circumstance. I got a 9 year old little girl and I live in PALO ALTO, California. I have worked mostly by myself and I seem to like it. I do enjoy the company of other glass artist but it seems to be hard to find the people to work with day in and day out. I have worked with and trained many people over the years but find I always end up in some sort of pain over the relationship. Is it just me ? And so I work alone.
New Orleans Jazz Fest 2006

New Orleans Jazz Fest 2006

(AndrewJ.Pollack)
Jazz Fest 2006 went off with out a hitch and was a blast for everyone who attended. I went four out of the six days, and we participated in a benefit and other events the week in between the festival weekends. We ate crawfish monica, crawfish bread, boiled crawfish, gumbo, soft-shelled crab po-boys, and too many other things to name them all. I saw great art - all of the artists I spoke with said that it was their best year ever, as people wanted to take a part of New Orleans home with them to tell the story that they came, they saw, they helped us to conquor.

Weather could not have been better. The few moments of rain, just helped to cool us off and the rest of the time the clouds did that job. The key is to be ready to step into either the Jazz or the Gospel tent in the event of rain, or just get wet. I hope that everyone who did not make it this year will put it on their calendars for next year. It was a very important event for the rebirth of the city and I think that it exceeded everyone's

Jen and I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers concerning our daughter, Alexandra. She had her aftercare appointment this week and everything is fine(Thank God). We would appreciate spreading the good word to those concerned. I know that the love and support from the community was felt by us. Here are a couple of pics of the kids a few days after Ally was released from the hospital.
As you might expect, the "Women's Issue" has been delayed. We are back on track, but will not make our deadline. Thanks for your patience concerning The Flow. Please call with any questions.

Much love,

Boxfan

It was my first chance to actually meet Troy so it was cool to put a face to some of the nicest glass I've seen. Your style is super clean.

Glass Art Society Conference 2006 - St. Louis

(AndrewJ.Pollack)
The conference was a great time and a huge success. I purchased many new tools for me and my students to use. I also spoke with many of my suppliers about new and improved materials. The lectures and demos were all great. As well as, the shows and auctions. Click on this page for a brief overview of the conference.

I got the opportunity to help out with Stephanie Sercich and Dustin Tabor's class at EGS a few ago and my daughter Josie was invited to join in on the fun.It was really cool. Dustin and Stephanie are great teachers and fun to hang out with.I highly recommend their class if you ever get the chance! As for Josie, she has a lot of torch time planned for this summer and she also plans on competing in the EGS Flameoff this year! She has a lot of support from her mother and I as well as friends and family. It's really exciting to watch her skill level progress little by little. We'll see what happens!

Seattle Marble Spectacular - July 19-22nd 2006

These are not very good shots, but I wanted to get some pics of the contemporary marble makers tables that were there.

I have table pics of Sabina, Pakoh, David Salazar, David Rosenfeldt, the Glass Reef, and my table. Pakoh also brought marbles for Borealis Glass but I didn't get a shot of them. Ro Purser was also there, he had his stuff out for room trading but didn't have a table. I wish he did because I could have stared at some of his stuff all day.
