Bezel Bonanza!

Bezel Bonanza!

(GeltDesigns)
Spring is here again and with it come thoughts and dreams of summer...will I travel to distant lands where monkeys play, dive deep in the sea and swim with the fish, climb mountains and explore dark caves and maybe stumble upon some precious stones?...or just craft something to wear in the carpool lines?...hinting of dreams...
Isaac Or - Glass Jewelry

Isaac Or - Glass Jewelry

(IsaacOr-glassJewelry)
Isaac Or, live and work in Herzeliah,
Israel, industrial
designer and international
rafting and river rescue expert.
His experience in glass art was
acquired in Seattle, (U.S.A.),
a worldwide glassblowing center.
His work is hand made.
Each and every bead is
especially designed in shape
and color as part of the fusion
process. Every item is unique,
numbered and signed by the artist.

The raw material used is Italian
Murano glass form of colored
bars, which is renowned for
its high quality.
During the process of creating
the beads, the glass bar is
melted at temperature of 900
degrees Celsius and wound
around a thin iron rod called
a "Mandrel".
Once the designing stage is
completed, the temperature of
the bead is reduced in a
controlled manner, in order to
avoid internal pressure.
The iron rod is then removed and
thus the hole of the bead is formed.

New Fine Jewelry 2006

New Fine Jewelry 2006

(AndrewJ.Pollack)
all post-Katrina/Rita. I could not sit around. I had to keep me and my friends busy and employed. Thanks to Tiffany Kahrs for colaborating with me on many of these necklaces. We dug through all of my beads from demos from past Atlanta workshops and found enough to make the majority of these pieces.
Glass Art Jewelry by Glass Dreamz

Glass Art Jewelry by Glass Dreamz

(GlassDreamz)
Working with glass began as a hobby. I had a small torch at home and would create beads, or as I like to call them, little sculptures. I have a BA in art and have always been a creative person, but I never felt the kind of passion and drive that I get internally when I work with glass.

I quickly upgraded to a larger torch and invested in a kiln to provide the glass with a better cooling process, which in turn makes the glass more durable. I use moretti glass for the beads. I only use high quality sterling silver for clasps, chains, and spacer beads. Occasionally I buy small glass beads to use as spacers.

The process of creating a piece of artwork, or jewelry, begins with ideas sparked from popular culture, colors, and fashion design. My creation process is nonstop because there are always new and creative ideas everywhere. To view more Glass Art Jewelry from Glass Dreamz Artist Leah Tangredi go to http://www.glassd...

Gold and Silver Glass Cab Necklace

Gold and Silver Glass Cab Necklace

(JasonBurrussDesigns)
Glass cab by Chris Roesinger and metalwork by Jason Burruss. This is the first cab medallion that I used gold and added a chain. I made all the links in the chain and put them all together. The gold accents go good with dark cabs. Check out my website at www.jandkdesigns.... I also do custom orders for other glass-blowers.

I also added a new medallion with a gemstone.

These necklaces have a metallic silver or copper sheen. The level of propane in the flame brings the silver or copper within the glass to the surface. They are quite magical.
