Abstract original Fused Glass Pendants

The pendants is made with a thin layer of clear and frost base glass then i create a art painting with glass frit and top this again with a thin layer of glass .
The whole pendant is then fully fused to produce a polished, smooth finish.

Out of the kiln i cut , grind and solder with Lead free solder , on the back i then attached a silver bail .

All of my glass jewelry is made by hand and requires a number of stages to produce this strong and durable pieces of jewelry.

Each Piece is unique and one of a kind , also the Glass itself is not thicker then a normal sheet of stained glass .

I hope you enjoy my Items as much as i enjoyed making them .

For any Questions please contact me .

Thanks for looking

A collaboration with my fiance Gonzo, this piece was made as a donation that will be up for auction at the Taste of Andersonville event. The centerpiece is a kiln-formed dichroic glass cabochon, hand-sculpted by Gonzo in sterling silver wire. The proceeds go to our Chamber of Commerce to help promote events and improve our neighborhood. Tickets for the event are $40 and include a HUGE buffet with food from restaurants in the neighborhood, silent auction, and a swing band with dancing. For more information go to www.andersonville... For more of Gonzo's wire-sculpted designs, go to www.metalworkers.org (Gonzowraps' gallery)

I have recently been fusing different patterns of glass on the top and the bottom of my bowls to give more variety. Here is one where the second pattern shows through the photo slightly under light. The back side is white and olive green swirled.

I hand faceted these fused dichroic glass pendants. I then hand forged the sterling silver 6mm tube bail to create these beautiful art glass pendants.

Milissa Montini's flame and fused murrines

Milissa Montini's flame and fused murrines

(MilissaMontini)
An overview of work by Milissa Montini. As you can tell, this work is a combination of flameworked murrine, cold work, fusing and slumping. One of these pieces could take months of design time to get into conception... and then the work takes longer. lol (She's gonna beat me for this description). New pics are coming soon as the new works are completed. Rex
Abundance of Kilnformed Work: Mosaik and Singular Series

Abundance of Kilnformed Work: Mosaik and Singular Series

(CynthiaOliver)
Explorations in iridised surfaces and the play of transmitted and reflected light are delisciously evident in the Mosaik and Singular Series. The glow of color from tranmitted light and the rich prismatic colors of reflected light from an iridised surface lend this contemporary work it's dramatic appeal.

Although the work is more formal in design than either the Whimsies or the Fluvial Series, a loose and playful feel is still evident in the design, color and line of these pieces. The process of composing and firing the work is sheer pleasure and I feel that pleasure reads loud and clear in the work itself. Imbibe.

Abundance of Kilnformed Work: Whimsies and Fluvial Series

(CynthiaOliver)
This vibrant kilnformed work is about color, light and movement. It's about an interplay between transparecy and opacity. How color is perceived by the eye as it interacts through the glass in reflected or transmitted light. This work contains strong design and smart color engaged in a playful and joyful jumble dance.

The 'Whimsies', such as "Do You Love Me..." contain a dance of color and line with scale and form and a playful division of space. The 'Fluvial' Series, as seen in "Confluence" are a more quiet and elegant dance with flowing color that travels through a piece like a river cuts a line through the Earth. Enjoy the ride.

River to the sea

The feeling of the water, flowing from the mountains to the sea. Pools of water, and flowing over the rocks. Eventually finding the way to the sea. Kiln cast bowl, using 96 COE fusing glass. Cast in crucible in kiln, then shaped, slumped and carved. Large 22" bowl, almost 1/2" thick. Slumped and sandcarved (intaglio). Handpainted, with 14k gold (flamed) inlay.

"Bees over Skeps" is one of my 4.5" x 4.5" tiles. This size is perfect for 6" glass blocks and can be mounted with E-6000 for use in shower walls. This tile is on display at Hot Flash Studios 2111 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, N.M. It was recently part of a group of my tiles on display at the South Broadway Cultural Center in the "Let There Be Light" glass artists exhibition.

Uniquely Fused. The Window Series is inspired by the tradition of Arts and Crafts geometric styling...but I've added a playful twist. Colorful, vibrant and layer upon layer of relief and texture make these pieces sing.

Glass Print Making 2004

Glass Print Making 2004

(AndrewBrott)
I have been experimenting with glass printmaking (vitreography) for the past 8 years. In my first vitreographs I used traditional methods developed by Harvey Littleton, but in my later attempts, such as "Palm Scripts", I printed directly from textured glass plates onto rice paper using a spring loaded Wheeled press. In other prints such as Basket Landscape, I used rubber "inner negatives" taken from the textured glass plates to print from. Pictured below are Artist Proofs of "A Dandelion Seed". I made four of these Proofs using four differnt methods to make the glass plates. NOTICE TO PEOPLE WITH MONEY: I wish to expand on these new techniques, combine them with hot shop trickery, and make printed glass sculpture. I need your finacial help... "Technique is cheap", but glass is expensive. Andrew Brott
