Tuna Can Drops

Tuna Can Drops

(Sun-Toys)
Dichroic glass 90 series slumped through a hole in a steel (not aluminum) tuna can. One was restricted by placing a tray beneath the can giving it a foot to stand on. The other is unrestricted giving it a round bottom. The tops have been cold worked. Creating little mini vases. I find that this is a great way to get rid of unusable scrap.

Kiln-Formed Dichroic Glass Pendants

(MoonFairyGlass)
Welcome to My Dichroics Gallery! After designing jewelry for many years, I wanted more depth of color and design. I found glass. I'm a self-taught Glass Artist always looking for more! With glass, I can add layers of colors and depth. I started with Glass Fusing in a tiny antique kiln that has no temp controls or gauges. My pieces are layered, fused, shaped and fused again. No two pieces are ever alike, I don't think I could duplicate them even if I wanted. When creating my Glass Art, I truly strive for a unique style of my own!

east meets West....

(note*Im not bashing Nomad...

I simply like to take whatever someone says is not "art" and put it up as "art" to make them question themselves. I tought Nomad was bashed on so much i would flip it around to say even a Nomad piece can be art in the right context. Society might say a pipe is not "art". A pipemaker might say a Nomad pipe could never be "art". I say Never say Never. Licence to Kill. Die another Day. Octopussy.)*

New Hot Work- Exploring Line

New Hot Work- Exploring Line

(thoskite)
These pieces are recent formal studies of line. They employ simple lamp worked glass linear design elements that are then incorporated into larger fused designs.

Fused in a Drop Mold

Fused in a Drop Mold

(GeltDesigns)
Do you dream of creating truly unique art glass? Make your own molds! Here is a dish made with a custom drop mold. The unpredictability of the process is part of its allure. Even with the best control, its always a surprise when you open the kiln.

Decorative picture on glass. The central bunny motifs are transfer prints fired onto a 3x4 inch piece of System 96 white glass. All other decorative pieces are cane chips or lampworked parts tack fused to the base glass. No glue, no unfired paint.

Custom Fused Glass Tiles.
I custom create each tile I make. They are used for Countertops, Kitchen Backsplashes, Bathrooms,Fireplace Surrounds, just about anywhere you would like to add a unique element to your home.
The 4 larger pictures are 4.25" tile, the 2 smaller pictures are of a 2" tile. Both sizes were used in a insert tile for a installation I did. I can make what ever size tile you might need.
Because all of my tiles are custom made I do not put pricing on this site. Please contact me about the tile for your special space, that I will design just for you.

Glass Panels

Glass Panels

For the last three years I have been exploring the combination of fusing sheet glass with a copper enamel and copper. Through many experiments I have been able create a shimmered effect or cracked effect due to the incompatabilities of the three materials. As I am continuing to try different ways to express my conceptual thought, I have been able to screen different imageries onto the surface of the glass.

Known for her bold choice of colors and numerous textural elements, ANEA's fused glass artwork and jewelry is truly unique. Each piece is handmade, one-of-a-kind and is unique as the individual who owns it.

If there's a new way to manipulate glass I want to see it & experience it. Theres quite an interesting technique that I have learned since arriving in DC and it deals with plate glass, way cool.

"in Green" Fused Glass Bowl

(SandySeff)
The natural green color is accentuated by the organic shape of this handmade glass bowl. Designed with darker green rectangles puts the straight and curved lines in competition! Kiln-formed in hot glass by Sandy Seff. Measures appx. 4"height x 10"diameter

Currently I am pursuing a BFA at Alfred university working in glass, mainly hot fusing sheet glass and encasing the polished results into clear, cutting it up and polishing it further. I've also started working recently with Neon, I like making installations that work with the architecture of a building.

Kiln Formed Glass

Kiln Formed Glass

Before I started flameworking, I tried fusing and slumping. I had a hard time resisting the urge to peek. I took that as a sign that I needed to do something a little more hands-on.
Salmon Life Cycle Wall Lamp

Salmon Life Cycle Wall Lamp

(Marcus)
With differing artistic elements, the life cyle of a salmon is intrestingly portayed on this 9' by 3' wall lamp/scupture. The fused and slumped pieces, the hand made glass for the leaded glass piece and a well designed track lighting system really brings together many of my loves into one amazing piece. I have not seen the lamp at night, but I can imagine that the 10 bulbs put off plenty of light. Check out all of the pictures to get a close up of all the details. by marcusknowles Sold
