Fairy vessel

(MicahEvans)
This is a three section piece, stopper, vessel, stand. It really took some fine tuning to get this thing standing level...a little more history on this piece..I made this in 2001, when I had been blowing glass for just about two years, these two sectional vessel pieces, the fairy and the coiling spear are the two pieces that made me believe in myself as an artist. There is nothing conceptually significant about the fairy, but I did a lot of designing and tinkering and it didn't end up in a pile on the floor! SUCCESS!!!

The Shaman

(StratisphereGlass...)
Inspired and based on Tassili cave art from Northern Algeria of Shamans. The third eye is to represent the Shaman's connection to the spiritual world. Vessel was made during a class with Robert Mickelsen, made the stopper when I got home.

beaver creek series

(BerndWeinmayer)
I made these bottles during my working trip 2000/2001 in Beaver Creek Colorado. The symetric human groups are melted inside and outside the vessels. It was an unbelievable trip which opens up my eyes what´s going on with flameworked glass in the US.

"US-vampire"

(BerndWeinmayer)
the "US-vampire" bottle was a milestone in my flameworker career. It was made for the action of the GAS conference in Seattle 2003. I got in contact with the buyer of this piece, Ed Kirshner, who showed me after that how to work with the neon plasma technic

Vases from 2002

(GerryGlass)
Gerry has gone big and heavy. These new vases are massive and very heavy. A departure from the thin and fine glass of his past.Thick glass means deep carving for Gerry. Some of these pieces are still at Visions Art Gallery Of Morro bay California.Look for a combination of such work now that Gerry has recuperated from major sugeries in 2002.He will be putting an effort in doing his best work ever.

Strong Women Series Vessels

(SteveSizelove)
With these pieces, I explore the technique of scultping the female figure and uniting it with the classic vessel form. I enjoy the emotion that these pieces create. Each figure is unique, and tells a slightly different story.
Amphora * Featured Page *

Amphora

(NewberyArtGlass)
These small vessels are patterned after ancient jars known as Amphora found on sunken Greek ships by archaeologists. Thank you National Geographic for showing me this world. The connection from an ancient people with a form so clean, graceful and useful still today always leaves me amazed.

These Amphora are two to three inches long and are colored both from the inside and outside and are often fumed. They are worn around the neck as a focal point of a necklace. They can also can be used to hold essential oils for aromatherapy.

Kiln-formed Accent Dishes * Featured Page *

Kiln-formed Accent Dishes

(RonaldBell)
The kiln-formed accent dishes and bowls are created from various colors of Bullseye glass. On the black irid images, the pattern is created with a vinyl mask and then sandblasted. One trip to the kiln for polishing and a final trip to form the dish. Because these are easy to customize, they are very popular as gift items. The colored dishes are also Bullseye glass.
