Also accompanying the glass is round faceted quartz, pale green quartz rondelles and solid sterling silver accents. This necklace measures 20 inches in length and secures with a sterling silver heart lobster clasp.

I've been making these for a while now. glass jellyfish were one of the things that really pulled me to start lampworking. I approach mine with a different idea then most artist. I try to achieve a more sparse tenticle cluster, so the jelly is more ghost like, or ethereal. the pendant is aprox. 1 3/4" tall.

Living on Maui I get my inspiration for my art work from my surroundings, as a surfer I have always admired the different wave sculptures and paintings artists make. I wanted to capture the flow and colors in the ocean, so here is some of my boro waves...the way I see them.

One of my customers made the necklace. She buys my beads, makes necklaces and sends me photos. She uses the technique called "Asian Knot." It is originally from Eastern Asia. I would like to introduce Japanese jewelry making to Western world.

I started off in soft glass, but recently went into boro. I think I prefer it and hope to learn more from some of the great artists of the day, many of whom I am lucky enough to know. When I see them a few times a year at our shows and demos, I always try to make sure I pick as many brains as poss. They are truly inspiring people and I have learned everything I know just by watching them work and asking questions.
