Glass is my passion and therapy. When I work with glass my emotions go with every creation.
It started like this: While I was recuperating from breast cancer in 2003, I took a class on glass fusing. It was really love at first sight. Glass have become an almost necessity in my life. Growing up and living close to the beach and nature reflects on all of my pieces. Casa de Cristal was formed with lampworker, Sherrie Venghaus, and me.

I posted this one on Ebay A couple of days ago. Just wanted show it off before it's gone. This is a TokensGlass first. I practiced this wire wrapping technique a lot before I felt comfortable to sell a set. I think it turned out great. It has all sterling silver embellishments and findings, including a beautiful sterling silver chain. The patterns that look like they were made on a jig were done by hand. If you want to see what it sells for just look up tokensglass on Ebay and add it to your watch list. I'm very proud of it and there will be more wire wraps to come. I'll put the rest in the market place next time.

This is a quick space/time do-hickey I made today to wear for the opening of an exhibition on saturday. It's got a wind-up key and three buttons (believe me, 3 buttons is all you need to space/time do-hickey you anywhere, anywhen ;) ). Ok, it's late, I didn't get much sleep last night and teh borderline insanity doesn't help, either.

Cut Stained glass pieces. 2-3 inches long. No-lead solder. Attached glass wired beads on face. Back has a self stick pin.
I also make what I call 'Sun Elements" which are pieces of cut stained glass, wire wrapped with beads and attached with a nickel chain. When the mood strikes I will try making a suncatcher (tempermental artist).
