)

Tropical Reef
(
Suzanne-SJSjewelr...
)
The wonderul colors in the lampwork set made by Robin D. Weber (SN4U) made it simple to make this beautiful set. Perfect for summer or I can see someone wearing this on a Cruise to beautiful tropial islands
Victorian Romance
(
PERAZAbeadsandjew...
)
Here you will find the latest of my creations. I'm stuck on the romance of the Victorian Era and have been creating a different type of rose specifically for these designs. Enjoy!
coldworked gypsea jewelry
(

flameworked/coldw... borosilicate jewelry.
these were formed on a mandrel with various layers of colors, clear, powders and frits, annealed in kiln, cut on a wet saw, polished on a lapidary wheel, reheated in a kiln, edges then smoothed in torch flame, reannealed, piece was then wired with sterling silver.
thanks to Andrew Brown / KBGlassworks for the inspiration for this style. theirs is the first coldwork that i ever saw pics of, and i was fascinated by the whole concept of it and just had to try something along those lines...

Jewelry Abstracts
(

)
When I'm done with a large, complex project I find that making jewelry a relaxing activity. Each of my pieces is a small, unique work of abstract art. The possible variations are incredible.
Glass jewelry from scraps!
(
CorinneWinters
)
I really hate to waste glass! Any time I have cool looking scraps I make them into jewelry, or better yet, attachments for larger pieces. Here are some of my scrappy jewelry items.

As a self taught glassblower in RVA I have been honing my craft for about six years now, with a break somewhere in between, to create works of art that I am very proud of. Lampworking has been a great passion in my life. Recently I have been admitted into the lampworking program at my local college. Too bad it doesn't start till the fall because I am psyched. I have a few examples of my work to display, some are freeform and some have a theme. So, take a look and enjoy!

Tiny Turtle Pendant
(
TokensGlass
)
This was a lot of fun to make very simple, yet elegant and stylish. Creatures area big part of what I do when I make pendants. They are not exactly where I want them to be so far but with everyone I get a little better. So, I'll keep trying.

Freeform Pendants

Some times it's fun to get behind the torch and just create. These are beads that just sort of created themselves. They flow and change at random, I never exactly know how these will turn out. To me this is Lampworking.

Beating the meat

Here's something I tried out recently when I was searching for different textures. It's such an obvious thing (and therefore often missed, I guess ... I sure did until now :P ), I'm sure people have used it in Egypt 5000 years ago, but because it's so simple that just about anyone with a little experience can do it, I thought I'd share it anyway.
The textures in the marble (rather quickly made, sorry I didn't even bother melting out the lines made by the marble mold coz they're just experiments) are from a Meat Tenderising Mallet I found at a cheap shop fo $2 (like the one in the first pic). both sides of the hammer are textures, one with a fine texture, the other side with a wider spaced texture ... heat the glass, press, fume, cap the back, hey presto, double sided textured grid marble (I like to call it "gridl"), cheap cheap texturising tenderiser. The jelly is made the same way and then imploded ... I guess you can get a similar effect from a flower frog (and an even better effect from the awesome V
