This is a fumed spiral marble. There are fume tubes and petals. This marble was made using borosilicate glass and silver and gold fume. It is approx 1 5/8".

All my flowers inspired by John! I am looking to get the basics down then incorporate in some of my own Ideas cause form follows fuction you know! I'll be working on my light in the future.
Tropical Floral Implosion Marble
(

)
I made this for a November 2005 marble trade.

This marble was featured in the 2006 2nd annual Women's Issue of The Flow Magazine. pg 20. by Kristen Pickett
Wild Fantasy Flower
(
EyeCandyArts
)
Flower_03 - This flower is a little more advanced than the previous ones. Some of my experimentation is starting to pay off! Green Exotic and White make up the Stamen and Pistils followed by 4 protruding Midnight encased Star White pedals, then a layer of Silver Tears leaves. All that is surrounded by Amethyst Ice Cane leaves and sepal. Fun stuff! Diameter is 1-1/2"
Flower_01
(
EyeCandyArts
)
Here's a beautiful Rose style flower made using Caribbean Coral (with a light encased layer of Bl. Elvis to accent the tips) and Forest Green for the calyx. Not exactly true to form, but a bit fantasy like. I like the idea we can create our own types of flowers, but I also look forward to mimicing some of natures most stunning flowers as well. 1-7/16" Dia.
Flower_02
(
EyeCandyArts
)
A little glowing gather of pistils pops out of the center of several red petals. The pistils were made with silver beach, and the inner group of petals are made with caribbean coral lightly encased with a layer of Bl. Elvis. The outer leaves are a combination of Forest Green and Parrot Green. Little dew drops accompany some of the leaves. 1-3/8" Approx. Dia.

1st Flower Marble Attempts
(
JoeAndDonna
)
I love to make flower implosion pendants and at the urging of Joe who pushes me to try new things, I made a couple of flower marbles. They are not nearly as big as any of his. To be sure I wouldn't win with these shooters but hey nobody's going to be playing marbles with my babies anyway:)
More Marbles
(
JoeAndDonna
)
Here is a couple of marbles I did this weekend just playing around. Was trying to get bigger ones than my first attempt and they are just a little bit. The flower is really nice, only thing I don't like about it is the bubbles, so I want be using that color in combo again.
Fumed Sunflower
(
KevinNail
)
This Sunflower has an excellent blend of sky blues and light greens. The base of the flower came out very crisp revealing the subtle spiral lines wrapping up and over the pedals.
Implosion Flower Marbles
(
Anakin
)
It has been a personal quest of mine to master the various techniques used in making implosion flowers. I've figured out many techniques on my own but I have a long way to go.
July 06' Update: I'm getting there! I've figured out many things and now just need to work on the color combos and petal designs.
Pics of stuff from class with Chris and Jackie
(
JoeAndDonna
)
These are pics of stuff that was made during our class with Chris and Jackie Rice, CNYglass. One word, "Awesome". I don't have a pic of Joe's first one, it split in half as soon as he put it in the kiln, and the other one he made he hid from me so I couldn't take a pic, but I sneaked some of his that he made when we got back to NC, they will be posted in another gallery. :)

Probably the most charming and colorful bracelet I've made with my own handmade glass beads. I love the pear toggle clasp. Created April 2007
