Pink Dream Fused Dichroic Silver Link Bracelet

Pink Dream Fused Dichroic Silver Link Bracelet

(GlassHouseJewelry)
Fused dichroic glass link bracelet. Professionally designed and handcrafted in my studio. Each dichroic glass "gemstone" is individually hand cut glass that is fused in my kiln at very high temperatures until I achieve the desired appearence and strength. Then they are added to a silver plate link bracelet measuring 7 1/2" long.

Gaia and Kronos

Gaia and Kronos

(E.Zelachowski)
I am loving all this new glass from DoubleHelix! This bicone is Kronos (in the middle) and Gaia (on the ends). That's it! There is nothing else added. In this bracelet I have strung it with silver and Swarovski crystals.
Bumpy Bead Bracelets and Necklace

Bumpy Bead Bracelets and Necklace

(JoeAndDonna)
This is what I've been working on lately, trying to get myself into the habit of making sets, so that I can turn them into jewelry. These are the ones that I finished today.
Hollow Jewelry

Hollow Jewelry

(CorinneWinters)
These are hollow glass bracelets and barettes I have been experimenting with. The bracelets are more comfortable and lighter than same-sized solid bracelets. The barretes are hollow with a peice of elastic cord running through it. I tie a knot in the cord, then try to force it inside the peice. since these were experimental, I didn't spend much time patterning. Look for more posts here as I improve these designs.

The idea for the bracelets came so interestingly I'll start there. I was working on a series of lovely but dangerous three-dimensional glass flowers, sculptures that featured cut glass on edge. I had been experimenting with fusing barbed wire between sheet glass in the kiln with interesting results, but I knew nothing about hard-glass (borosilicate, familiar as Pyrex), nor about torch-working.
One day out of the blue I saw in my mind's eye a silhouette of a glass bracelet. It was exquisite. I had never seen anything like it but I was intrigued by its beauty and the apparent contradiction of wearing glass, a material assumed to be so fragile. With a little investigation I discovered the extraordinary strength of industrial glass and got an introduction to basic lamp working through a woman with tremendous grace on the torch, Theresa Kowalski. My brother Steve Miller set me up on his welding torch. This was 1983. I have been making bracelets ever since.

I make kiln annealed lampwork glass beads with dichroic and fritte accents. I use the beads and semi-precious stones to make unique wire wrap sterling silver and gold fill earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
RETRO DISCO IN RED - SOLD

RETRO DISCO IN RED - SOLD

(GMDLampwork)
A cascade of chunky, funky, bold lampwork glass discs (handmade by me, Gina M. DeStevens) in luscious reds, black, white, clear, and even a little splash of glittery candy apple dichro, are accented with sparkly swarovski crystals and shiny sterling silver.
This bracelet has a nice, weighty feel to it, and the over all theme of this design is very flashy, fun and retro!
The bracelet is finished with a sturdy lobster claw / extended chain closure that will adjust 8" to 9".

Implosion Cab Bracelet

Implosion Cab Bracelet

(JasonBurrussDesigns)
This is what happens when I have to much fun with something. Chris Roesinger blew the implosion cab and I decided to make a bracelet instead of a pendant. I accented the cab with 4 dark blue sapphires. The centerpiece took me about 5 hours. The centerpiece is conformed to your wrist. This makes an extremely comfortable bracelet that you can hardly tell is on. I also made the chain band. I formed every link and put them together. There are approximately 600 links in the band. This takes about 10 hours. There is about 3 ounces of sterling silver in the entire bracelet. I like making bracelets more than anything else. I can size bracelets to a person's wrist with a simple measurement.
