SEXY MARBLE HOLDER

(Sabina)
This is my first of hopefully a series of women marble holders. I took a one day workshop with Bill Rasmussen, And it has opened up a whole new chapter of creativity for me. Bill’s teaching again in July at Momka’s Glass.
It's just over 3" tall.
It's holding the first marble I made on my NEW GTT! Finally got here! And it's so nice!

Damselflies 3-30-06

(ZenArtGlass)
I originally made 4 damselflies and a nice fish with dichro fins, but only these two survived the kiln. Ah well. next time I'll remember not to put them too close to the elements.

Ice cage #2

Lunette's Song

(LucidVisions)
Anthurium andraeanum "Lunette", anthurium crystallinum and spring grass 28" x 18"

We learned an emense amount from the previous antheriums so we employed that knowledge to create the better flower. Up to 6 plus hours of work for each pink antherium, but well worth the effort, be sure and click on one of the close-ups to really see the vein work. Lampworked borosilicate glass, sandblasted, painted.

2006 - 04 "Fossilized Megalodon Collaboration"

(AndrewBrown)
This is a new direction in the ever changing collaboration work between myself and Troy Bennett. This piece has two dichroic galaxys in the center of the pedestal. The surface has been treated with metals and foils, then electroformed with fossilized megalodon and sharks teeth inclusions that are 10-20 million years old. This was the second piece to come out of the newest series, with freeform sculpture and organic mixed media as the focus. This piece measures

2006 - 04 "The Bolt" Collaboration

(AndrewBrown)
Another piece from me and Troy Bennett.. This one started last time we got together in KC, and sat waiting for the right time to get finished. This one features a large sculpted piece of boro with a bolt penetrating the hole in the middle.. The piece has been wrapped in copper wire and electroformed. The bolt and part of the fossilized teeth have been electroformed as well. A black brown patina was used to give a prehistoric feeling to the piece.. This is one more piece that is definately a push from the norm for both Troy and myself. ........ 9 1/4" tall and a little over 5 1/2" tooth to tooth.

New Work

(CarolCarson)
Recent glass work, thicker in dimension with images drawn many times within the depth of the pieces. Unfortunately the photos do show the true depth of the figures drawn.

First Blown Egret Attempt

(JacobLee)
I am part of a group in Yakima, WA that is trying to raise funds for a soft glass studio. ( www.bellavitra.com ) We did a fundraiser on April 28th at The Spring Barrel Tasting event put on by local wineries. It involved art and wine barrels. My friend Sandi Drury did the slumped glass and I did the blown glass. We kind of had to rush this one, but I'm going to have to do another one of these for sure.

Vessels

(LindemannGlass)
I have posted most of these vessels before but I am reorganizing my gallery and reformatting my photos. They are mostly incalmo vessels with graal images, inspired by Robert Mickelsen. The stoppers are removable but all other embellishments were attached hot. Thanks for looking, Tim

Blue moon and amazon night powder, with elvis and blue moon tentacles. Frozen for eons in the shards of a cold and distant world, an ancient creature breaks free of it's icy tomb....

Summer means INSECTS!!!

(WesleyFleming)
These insects are all made of Effetre soft glass, generally on a Minor burner. I specialize in beetles, but also make other classes of insects.

Hooray for summertime!

I've decided to fore go the usual and concentrate on what I like to do

Look for a new line of the unusual coming soon.

Geodes

(LindemannGlass)
All of these Geodes are made whole, cooled down and then cut, polished, heated and re-worked. I always loved geodes as a kid and now I can make my own. I'm never quite sure what they are going to look like before I cut them open so it brings back some of my childhood excitement. A few of these have been posted before but I figured I have enough new ones to make a new catagory.
