Food Chain ( Here's Looking at You Babe)

Food Chain ( Here's Looking at You Babe)

(JoeAndDonna)
Here is a sculpture that we have been working on. We've had a lot of fun making and putting this together. We've entered it in a juried art show coming up soon. Do not know if it will even come close to winning but hey like I said we've had fun watching it come together.
Mo's coe3.3 pendants

Mo's coe3.3 pendants

(GlowMo)
I started off in soft glass, but recently went into boro. I think I prefer it and hope to learn more from some of the great artists of the day, many of whom I am lucky enough to know. When I see them a few times a year at our shows and demos, I always try to make sure I pick as many brains as poss. They are truly inspiring people and I have learned everything I know just by watching them work and asking questions.
Wearables

Wearables

(BickleyStudios)
These are some pendants made by Veda. They took awhile to develop and to learn how to photograph.Phil took all these pics. They are all wearable and very durable. The loops on the fairies are on the back of the head. Thanks for looking.

Stoppers and More Wine Stoppers!

(JoeAndDonna)
Here are some wine stoppers that Joe has been working on. He's doing a fine job of his flowers. Oh yeah the butterfly is mine. As you can tell there is more Dichro than anything, Joe loves working with it.
More from Joe

More from Joe

(JoeAndDonna)
Here are some more dichro pendants from Joe. The colors in some of these are awesome. I picked me one to wear until it sells. That's the nice thing about making glass pendants and beads, we always have a supply to pick and choose from and we can change up all the time, and I do, it's great advertising too.

A series of beads/ cabachons that I did for the Best Bead Show in Tuscon '05.
They resemble the tiles, but with more faceting. Some landscape, some aquatic. All were about 1" tall, and .5" across.

Vitro-glyphs

Vitro-glyphs

(Fyrsmith)
These designs are from ancient Alutiiq petroglyphs found on Kodiak Island, Alaska. I call my version vitro-glyphs because I am writing in glass. The pieces are not actually beads with holes in them. I wanted them to look like stones, so no holes yet. They are boro and the frit is blue moon.
Scuba Adventures

Scuba Adventures

(DRBThunderfoot)
Inspired by my scuba diving adventures.
Hanging out underwater is one of my favorite
things in the world. Watching the fish swim about, the turtles at play, all the hidden creatures among the coral with the waves crashing on the rocks above.
This bead was done as a disc flip. I spun out some gold fumed scalloped tube for a base to make a stand that the bead could be spun around to look at but also removable to wear. pull the fish pin to remove the bead.

Winter in Alaska

Winter in Alaska

Laplace Resonance

Laplace Resonance

(Fyrsmith)
Laplace Resonance is a term that describes the relationship between Jupiter and three of its moons : Io, Europa and Ganymede. This lampwork pendant is 62mm long, 20mm across and 10mm thick.
Production Borosilicate Bead

Production Borosilicate Bead

(BubbaDuke)
Solid borosilicate bead, mandrel formed. Core is cobalt blue wrapped in sheet dichroic which was pre-textured with a pattern of clear rod hobnails. All colored glass is Northstar Cobalt Blue & Aqua.

This bead was made 10 years ago, back in 1997.

I made a batch of 250 of these for Lewis Wilson's annual Glass Bead Show in the Tucson Gem & Mineral Expo back in the late 90's.

Back when this was made, all we had was the GE Dichroic... how things have changed. ;)
