Latest Fairy

Latest Fairy

My latest fairy amazes me . I was fighting with her forever. She didnt want to do the things I wanted her to do. In the end she turned out so beautiful. She is a bead that stand 3 inches tall and the loop is in her hair. She stand up on her own on her one toe and her bottom wings. I am keeping her because she brings me so much joy. She is made out of Glass Alchemy and Precision Boro Glass.

Caught red handed, as a very large planet starts to explode! There are two planets nearby, one looks large enough to survive the explosion, but only time will tell. A neutron star can be seen in the distance spinning furiously, and a black hole behind the display, along with numerous stars.

Feel free to view some of my other designs at www.yelram.com. Thank you all for the energy and effort you put day and night developing this site and offering your creations for all to see. Inspiration, momentum, creation.....
Bickley Studios Pendants

Bickley Studios Pendants

(BickleyStudios)
Phil and Veda are both self-taught artists who were drawn to the medium of glass for artistic expression at a young age. The parents of two lovely daughters, Phil and Veda met in California where they were separately exploring and studying craft, Phil specializing in glassblowing. This shared passion for art and craft has fused both their personal and artistic union and sustains the Bickley family. They work independently, but also encourage each others unique voice and vision in collaborative projects. Veda's glass takes on whimsical, fluid and sensual lines while Phil's work is always confident and rich in sophisticated expression. Having worked and supported themselves as artists for more than six years, their ability to live a life fostered by their art resonates in their pieces.
Their home in the graceful rusticity of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains is also their artist's studio, so creativity is deeply etched in their everyday life.

I really love this technique and the infinite ammount of possible designs you can get from it. Basically, just find two colors, a dark one and a light one, that you like that can blend into themselves. A color that won't leave a trace or line where it's melted into itself. Then just start layering different combinations of dots. It starts getting pretty intense by the eigth layer.

These beads are earthy and a little rough in shape, far from being perfectly balanced, they are a lot of fun to make! These are the kind of beads where I just let go when making them.
