Beforeglass Large Focal Beads

Beforeglass Large Focal Beads

(VeliciaWaymer)
I enjoy creating large focals using several designs within each layer of glass. At some point a "series" or theme presents itself, that is until the next abstract design appears...Thanks for looking!

A Blue Rose by Fay Katherine

A Blue Rose by Fay Katherine

(FayKatherine)
Blue rose under glass. The rose paperweight style pendants take about 2 hours to create each one. I am addicted to creating consistent floral pendants. These are hand encased (not stump-sucked). Off to make some more!!
Pink florals with Abstract background

Pink florals with Abstract background

(Julie)
The florals in this bracelet were created with the floral plunge technique. I used Med. Red for the core color along with green and turquoise for the abstract vining. The flowers are done in Dk. Pink opaque and Pink transparent.

Window Beads by Fay Katherine

Window Beads by Fay Katherine

(FayKatherine)
Here are a few faceted window beads made out of Effetre. I am trying to learn how to do cold-work with a lap grinder so these were a fun first try.

I also wish to thank my boro friends, Andrew and Bryan, for their help and advice on cold-working. KB is the best!!

Adventures with Silver Foil

Adventures with Silver Foil

(AnnaDuhame)
I just got a very large set of mini punches...lots of fabulous shapes to try out...dragonflies, dolphins, and even a castle....this is where I will be posting my finished beads...the technique is trickier than it looks...it is hard not to melt or distort the silver foil.

Hey this is one of my very first sets of boro! I just learned this particular encasement method and love it! The name it just kinda what came to mind when I see all of the colors.

Honored in French!

(L.BazCreations)
Surprised to see I got a package, I immediately ripped it open and was even more surprised to see its contents - a catalogue from a French Museum (Musee Berck-sur-Mer) with one of my beads beautifully photograghed (even if sideways) on a full page! Its part of their exhibit entitled Perles D'Ecume showing sea-themed lampwork beads.
Jones Art Glass iTwist

Jones Art Glass iTwist

(JonesArtGlass)
The iTwist is my newest design added to the Jones Art Glass collection. Its an encased, Boro, lampworked bead/pendant and features an encapsulated High Desert Twist trapped beautifully within a super magnified layer of clear boro. I enjoy evolution of style and I truly enjoyed creating the high desert twist; so its awesome to expand on an already fun idea. I'll be debuting this design at The Beast Bead Show 1rst annual Tucson Fall Show in a few days. I truly enjoy the finished product and up close the colors stack up and twist into beautiful sprial "steps". Thanks for spending some time with me...
Adventures in Faux Boro

Adventures in Faux Boro

(RowanberryGlassArt)
I had a play with "faux boro" - an effect in soft glass which give the effect of Borosillicate glass. It happens with the use of iris gold & straw yellow stringers. I so adore this effect!
