black and white

black and white

(E.Zelachowski)
This bead started out as a zebra back (see the wild things gallery) and just went a little overboard. It came out nice though. The black lines are as thin as baby fine hair!

The same week I made the bead I got the curved tubes, and they just seemed like a match.

Made this for a trade with a wonderful person named Polly in the wearable arts section of WetCanvas.

The bead is a black base with kronos and silver mica, all lightly encased and shaped.

So inspired by the idea of creating Art that is meaningful to the individual that owns it.Bringing on happiness or sadness; for sure is a personal experience. All families are a work of art.

Enchanting Merfolk & Company

(Jettonne)
'Thou rememberest

Since once I sat upon a promontory,

And heard a mermaid on a Dolphin's back

Uttering such dulcet and harmonious breath,

That the rude sea grew civil at her song;

And certain stars shot madly from their spheres,

To hear the sea-maid's music.'

Furnace Glass Beads

Furnace Glass Beads

(HannahRachel)
These beads are made in the hotshop, rather than on a torch. They are just too much fun to make, but most of the work is in the cutting and finishing stages!
Electroformed Beads

Brent was visiting me for a few days and we broke out the electroforming vat. Here are some pieces that I did while he was in town, and some older ones...

I am a glass beadmaker and teacher from Eureka Springs Arkansas. I have been making beads for 10 years but have just recently exposed them to the world. Tom and Sage Holland have been my only teachers but I have taught myself alot.

Hollow Vessels

Hollow Vessels

(LoisJones)
One of my absolute favorite items to create is glass vessels. I just love hollow forms of all kinds, but the patience required while making a vessel places me in a wonderfully exciting yet meditative place!
Cetaceans

Cetaceans

(AnnaDuhame)
A prospective customer suggested that I try making dolphins on one of my Ocean seascape beads. I don't know why I had never thought to do this, but as soon as I tried I felt the magical tingle of a new brilliant idea. Thank you Rhoda!
Landscapes

Landscapes

(AnnaDuhame)
I love to make landscapes..."pai... with glass". These beads are a magical concoctions of glass colors, frits, enamel powders and pure silver. They combine to create a landscape that calls to you and wants you to come explore.
Twisted Capsule

Twisted Capsule

(MandellaGlass)
These capsules are some of my favorites to make. I recently did a tutorial on these in Glassline. It was my first tutorial and I enjoyed sharing. You can do these so many different ways.
Silver Core Beads

Silver Core Beads

(LoisJones)
I fell in love with silver core beads before I started lampworking. I immediately knew that I had to make them in different sizes. It is a challenge but when they turn out it is a blast!

I love making these raked glass beads. I always name each style after a dance. I am obsessed wih dancing and the molten glass just reminds me of different dance steps. I hope you enjoy these sparkly beads - Virginia
