Aboriginal ~ INSPIRED~ Beads

Aboriginal ~ INSPIRED~ Beads

(AnnaDuhame)
I have loved the paintings and art of the native Australians since the first time I set eyes on them. Simple symbols formed into intricate designs that tell a story--what a brilliant inspiration for beads! These are in no way REAL dreamtime art, but an appreciative nod towards a beautiful art form.

Glow in the dark pendants

Glow in the dark pendants

(GalacticGlass)
These are some glow in the dark pendants we make. We use Glow Powder from Glow Glass LLC. Their web address is: http://glowglass.... . Mo and Joe make a variety or glow products specifically designed for glass artists.

I use a tube I drew into a very small point to draw straight lines of powder onto a piece of dichroic glass. Then I pick up the dichroic piece with a molten piece of clear rod to work it into a pendant.

I will be posting some glow in the dark pendants on Ebay later this evening. You can check them out at: http://stores.eb... .

Folk Art Cat Series

Folk Art Cat Series

(AnnaDuhame)
This was something new that I decided to try...they seem to be fairly popular and I believe they are pretty versatile in many jewelry designs. I just love folk art and I have been greatly inspired by Warren Kimble and E. Smithson.
My Electroformed Beads

My Electroformed Beads

(FireDanceLampwork...)
Electroplating is the process of using electricity and chemicals to cover an object with a thin layer of metal.

The difference between electroplating and electroforming is the thickness of the layer of metal that is applied. If it is heavy enough to stand on it's own it"s considered electroforming.

Electroforming is the process I use to get the metal on my lampworked pieces.

Moonlit Beaches

Moonlit Beaches

(AnnaDuhame)
I also have a beach section, but I kind of felt these deserve a section of their own...the entire look is very different. I am really going for a painted appearance here. I have developed (what I feel is) a great technique for ocean waves and a realistic shore...these are some of my favorites!
Palm Trees

Palm Trees

(AnnaDuhame)
I put these under a sculptural category because these beads have palm trees that have been created in raised relief. All of the palm tree components are individually created before I begin to make the beads.
Birds

Birds

(AnnaDuhame)
I have just started a series of bird beads. It has been challenging to create a form that will hang well and avoid having fragile pieces that can be easily broken.
Implode

Implode

(MandellaGlass)
This has to be one of my favorite implosions. I made this one on a tube. Usually make them on a rod but I thought I would try something different. I'm glad i did. Thanks for looking.
Honored!

Honored!

(L.BazCreations)
I was recently honored to have been included in the Good Things / Small Packages Exhibit at Public Works in San Francisco and in Santa Cruz. The catalogue is gorgeous and includes incredible work by incredible artists - a great addition to any glass library. I'm so thrilled to see my work on those pages!
Jones Art Glass Finished Work

Jones Art Glass Finished Work

(JonesArtGlass)
I use organic colors to help me stay connected to my Southwest environment. This is my first attempt at bead stringing... Any and all feedback is awesome. I always wondered what people have been doing with my beads for the last three years. These are my in house designs from your friends at Jones Art Glass!!
Turtle of the sea

Turtle of the sea

(MandellaGlass)
I have been making these sea turtle pendants often lately. They always sell right off. This one I made with some new colors I picked up at the Hempest to try out. Colors used in this piece are spanish moss, and turquoise. Thanks for taking time to check out my work.

(HeartsOfGlass)
Welcome to our Floral Focal Page! Florals are my passion and main focus as an artist. I love the depth and elegance that can be achieved, and that's what I aim for in my pieces. I'm really happy with some of my recent pieces and I can't wait to see what comes out of the kiln next!
3-in-1 Gallery

3-in-1 Gallery

(StarlightDesigns)
These are large focal beads using a 3-beads-in-1 technique that I developed. The center portion usually features an encased floral theme with striped cane "endcaps" on the top and bottom, most often finished with goldstone rims around the edges.
At the Bottom of the Sea

At the Bottom of the Sea

(MandellaGlass)
This is one of my newest seafloor implosions I have made. It a little piece of the ocean inside. I really enjoy seeing the results you get each time. I am going to get more complex with these inthe future. Thanks for taking time to check out my work.
