FAT CATS/ANIMALS

FAT CATS/ANIMALS

(DreadDesigns)
These creatures are actually two beads and vary in size from the wearable 2" to the display 5" large animal beads. Wired with Sterling silver wire and wear a cute sparkly rondell as a collar and embellished with a charm. These fun creatures bring a smile to anyones face.
2004 Inside Out Beads

2004 Inside Out Beads

(FireDanceGlass)
These are my best selling beads...they start out hollow, then I condense them into a solid form. They are pierced with tungsten while the glass is still hot to create the hole. Most are made with only one color of glass. The variation in color comes from the fuming patterns I create with gold and silver.

The Littlest Mermaid!

The Littlest Mermaid!

(KatherineWetherin...)
A super teenie little mermaid lounging on a rock. She has a mutli- faceted tail of scales, tri color hair, a 3 - d fin and a treasure chest overflowing with gold coins, rubies, pearls etc... Very petite and light for wearabilty at a mere 27 mm!
Bead cap floral beads

Bead cap floral beads

(Beachbeads.lampwo...)
My husband designed a mandrel in which I can make "bead cap" beads. They work great for floral beads and to make focals to dangle beads and charms thfough.
fUnKy CaT Beads

fUnKy CaT Beads

(CalmWaterStudio)
No two fUnKy CaTs are ever alike! I create each one with a unique personality and color scheme. They are fashioned after little cats I drew as a child, I would draw them and then decorate their little bodies with funky designs. Some things never change! Only now I create my cats in glass with swirls of design inspired by art, nature or just serendipity!
Borosilicate Tapestry Beads

Window Beads by Fay Katherine

Window Beads by Fay Katherine

(FayKatherine)
Here are a few faceted window beads made out of Effetre. I am trying to learn how to do cold-work with a lap grinder so these were a fun first try.

I also wish to thank my boro friends, Andrew and Bryan, for their help and advice on cold-working. KB is the best!!

Desert Twist

Desert Twist

(JonesArtGlass)
These beads bring about feelings of peace. Their unique, twsited design show the never ending spiral of life. Some times ebb sometimes flow but always in motion. These beads show the motion of the Desert. Thank you to Bead & Button Magazine for including these in the August 2005 edition of Artist Spotlight.
Opal Drops

Opal Drops

(JonesArtGlass)
These beads represent the incredible influence KBGlassworks has had on my own lampwork. Thanks Andrew And Brian for helping make the desert liveable.
The use of Glison Opals really shows the fiery spirit of Albuqueque, NM.

Encased Florals, Fall 2005

(NicholeByersGlass...)
I've really enjoyed developing my skill level at making encased florals. I still have a lot to learn, but the learning process is very enjoyable to me.
One Time or More?...Story Beads!

One Time or More?...Story Beads!

(GeltDesigns)
All beads have a story. Through multiple firings and a careful combination of using lamp work, cold work, silver foils and enamel, I create fused glass beads that tell a story.

Whether it is a cat scampering after a ball, young girls and boys sunbathing on the beach, a lady bug resting on a leaf, a bird perched in a tree or a sail boat crossing the Chesapeake Bay, my “story bead” series seek to capture the romance of life frozen in a glass bead.

I hope the viewer is entranced by the duality of a fluid experience caught as a snapshot in glass. I want viewers to see and find their own stories in my glass beads.

Lampwork Bracelets

Lampwork Bracelets

(StephanieArner)
Here is an ecletic mix of some of my current work. I love mixing glass lampwork with natural stones. I use some interesting techniques to make glass appear stone like. So, mixing the two is just awesome! These bracelets are available for purchase, unless otherwise noted ("SOLD"). Please contact me for more information. Resizing is available at no charge.
Florals

Florals

(AnnaDuhame)
when I started making glass beads my first focus was learning how to make floral beads. Here are encased florals AND raised florals AND pressed florals.
