Cetaceans

Cetaceans

(AnnaDuhame)
A prospective customer suggested that I try making dolphins on one of my Ocean seascape beads. I don't know why I had never thought to do this, but as soon as I tried I felt the magical tingle of a new brilliant idea. Thank you Rhoda!
Beauty and the Beast~ Graffiti Jewelry

Beauty and the Beast~ Graffiti Jewelry

(GraffitiJewlery)
This piece took me over 2 weeks of trial and error in the kiln before I was able to pull off a prototype. This is the first of a series I will be doing of "One of a Kind" Asian ladies with creatures. This one happens to have a Chow peeking out from behind her skirt.

I have created Chow and other dog breed art for over 35 years and I especially love to work in miniature via my Jewelry designs.

Year of the Dog Remembered

Year of the Dog Remembered

(GraffitiJewlery)
I was born in the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dog and 2006 was truly a time for me to discover a part of myself on our journey to China. This necklace/earring set is dedicated to a most auspicious year behind us as we pass the torch next month from the dog to the pig!!!!

What am I?

What am I?

(BelindaTodd)
I started out making this really cool bead, loved the look. Then being the creative person that I am, I added a dab of red glass on the top of the bead. Yuk! From that point .....I don't know what happened. This is what I ended up with. I don't know what it is, haven't a clue....but I like it.

Thanks for stopping in, Belinda

XiuLan~Graceful Orchid Panda Pendant

XiuLan~Graceful Orchid Panda Pendant

(GraffitiJewlery)
This is a BIG pendant ....a real show stopper. 80mm from top to bottom of the glass. The entire background is silver dichrioc which mirrors the 4 layers of orchid petals.

I love large scale pendants..This one is really cool on the neck.

Only the Shadow Knows~ Koi Pendant

Only the Shadow Knows~ Koi Pendant

(GraffitiJewlery)
This one was inspired by a photo my son Bryan took in Chengdu China...a single black Koi was in a firey mass of red and orange fish. I love the energy in the photo and tried to carry it through to the pendant.

The inspiration photo is in this gallery too. Thanks Bry for the loaner!!

TAO ZI means

TAO ZI means "Peach"

(GraffitiJewlery)
Another "Pandant" (Pendants for Pandas) design featuring little Tao Zi in a bed of peach flowers.

I love how the background turned out with the soft watercolor wash look and the panda herself has a fuzzy edged appearance. Wish I knew how that happened..LOL

You can check out the other pix in this gallery to see the inspiration collage

New pendant for Project Panda!

New pendant for Project Panda!

(GraffitiJewlery)
I'm really excited about this one...Not only was I able to fit a mother and baby BOTH into the design but lots of rocks, greenery and of course bamboo too!

Another detail I like is the asymetrical shape of the piece. Just slightly askew to give it more of a natural feel.

A boro bead by a friend of mine here in Portland really brings out the colors of the ball the baby is playing with.

I think the whole piece has kind of a Chinese calligraphy feel to it

I really had a great time working on this one. The panda and Asian Pear tree (use your imagination on that one) are all in a rich sepia tone on a blend of ivory to vanilla shades in the glass background
