Fay's Egyptian Sekhmet--Goddess of War

(FayKatherine)
This sculpted lioness's head was created for Corina's Egypt Bead Challenge. Sekhmet is the Egyptian Goddess of War and is represented by a lioness head atop a woman's body. There are many statues of Sekhmet so that is why I chose a granite looking color to the head.

My signature murrini is on the back.
Thank you for looking~

Brook's Seaturtles

Brook's Seaturtles

(WildfireProductions)
Each Seaturtle is handcrafted to be a unique one of a kind glass bead, displaying the natural beauty of the Seaturtles shell. The intricately designed blown glass shells have been sprayed with gold and silver fume on the inside to give them a long lasting iridescence. These remarkable gems can be worn on a necklace, used in beading, or hung in a window.

I can't say that I'm going for a true to life style here, but I love to abstract the features of sea turtles, especially the shells! I don't make these often, the 'turtle shell' takes quite a bit of time but I love them!

These creatures are actually two beads and vary in size from the wearable 2" to the display 5" large animal beads. Wired with Sterling silver wire and wear a cute sparkly rondell as a collar and embellished with a charm. These fun creatures bring a smile to anyones face.

I have been making Lampwork beads for a few years now. I am self taught but have learned many things from fellow artist. I currently sell on ebay (SamanthaBeads) I really enjoy Lampworking, and it thrills me to death to know someone is wearing a bead I made. I recently won 1st place in the Delpi online glass art festival for jewelry/torchworked glass, and one of my froggies appears in this great little book called Bead Review 2005. I update this page every few weeks so check back often! Thanks for looking! I hope you like all my creations! Feel free to send me an email at Samanthabeeds@cen...
Animal beads

Most of these were made as part of a cartoon challenge on another forum, and are copywrighted designs, so are not for sale --just for fun.

The Dachshund bead is my own dog, and my own design.

Fish Beads

Fish Beads

(JohnRizzi)
One thing I really enjoy creating are my unique fish sculptures. First I choose a few basic colors & frits for the initial color scheme. Then I work step by step until the life and personality of each fish reveals itself.

I used to own a shell shop in the FL Keys. The little hermits would come into my shell yard and find a new home. They would walk away with thousands of my small shells. I made one to remind me how much I liked them!
