Aqua Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant

This piece has the colors of salmon, and teal to its dichroic glass. The base glass is Aqua and is accented by round sterling silver wire and a few aqua beads. This is a larger piece and measures 2" x 1". The bail is silver plated and will accommodate up to a 4mm chain. If you like a little bolder piece, this is the one.

Came out pretty well. Wasnt too prepared for the fumes comin off the silver and got a bit light headed. Done with northstar: Plantnium Moss and Amber/Purple and of course silver fume.

The first one was for a friends son who had been killed. The Idea was to create something that could be worn close to the heart and not have to worry about the ashes ever coming out. They have evolved quite a bit since the first one. Each one is custom per person.

This is a selection of my fused glass pendant art. I create these with the latest materials avaliable. I enjoy working with dichroic glass and the paper substitute which you will see a lot of this used on pieces where you will find an image of cut out of an actual thing, such as a dragonfly. I also enjoy creating my own bails and wire wrapping most of my pendants.

Bara means rose or rosebush in Japanese. Inspired by a colossal rose bush I saw in Tombstone, Arizona. This rose bush is so large, it's held up by supports and you can walk underneath while it spreads out like a canopy over your head.
