Momka's new colors
(
ChristopherRice
)
I made this using Momka's new Gypsea Queen and brown sparkle. Really sweet colors!! Here's my input on the new colors, thanks Momka!!
Gypsea Queen: I really love these pre-pulled mixed colors. All the colors are very smooth, and when worked in the right flame atmosphere there are no bubbles at all. They will bubble at higher temps, but if you take your time it's smooth as butter.
Brown Sparkle: I love sparkles, and this one is right up there. Lots of sparkle and no cracking issues at all so far. Very smooth, and the brown becomes more translucent when pulled into smaller stringers, which can definately be used to your advantage. Another great color!!

Post-FlameOff Collaboration
(
EyeCandyArts
)
Lee Zeigler, Kris Hale, Christian Luginger, and myself created this monster after the Eugene FlameOff a few weeks ago, before Christians' flight home to Texas. Neither Kris or Christian have even seen it yet, and in fact, it was in a sad state of hurt when they left. I saved her guys! Hope you like it!

What do you see?
(

If you see a Butterfly, you are a kind and gentle being. If you see the Spider, you are very evil and should seek help!
If you just see a bowtie design made from a stickstack using purple urple, bipiditybopidityb... yellow and orange crayon, then...you're boring, and stop trying to guess/steal my color combos! lol

Eddie's Enchanted Peridot
(

This marble was made as a birthday gift from a customers relative for his birthday with the request of his birthstone color be incorporated. Eddie combined his ArtWorks series marble as centerpiece with outer bands.

Small Wonders
(

Ever try to make a marble as small as possible? It's kinda fun. Anyway, here's a few I did tonight, just for the heck of it. It actually makes quite a nice piece as a set, when paired with one of my new crystal marble stands. The largest of these is 11/32" in diameter and the smallest is 15/64" in diameter.

I feel like I've been in a slump for a while, I think this one brought me out. A really tight bouquet of flowers and a new pattern for me on the backside. Thanks for looking!!

I Love the effects of implosions. Flowers implosions are so beautiful. I can see how marble artists would get hooked on making these.
This one is 1 3/8".

Cocoa/White/Peacock Hollow Display and Marble Set
(
EyeCandyArts
)
The display stand is made from hollow hand-pulled tubing made of Experimental Cocoa and Star White from NS. The top rest includes a hidden rubber O-ring used as a buffer between the glass marble and the glass stand, as suggested by Mike Close of Baron Molds. The O-ring prevents unnecessary damage to either piece of artwork, and Mike created a tool for me that would leave a perfect indent for the O-ring to sit. Thanks Mike!

More Reticellos 2006
(
ChrisRoesinger
)
This summer I was hired to deomonstrate marble making at the Virginia Highlands Festival. So, I spent about two months heavily focused on a variety of marble designs. Here are some of my favorite reticellos from the endeavor.
In addition, I will be teaching at Carlisle School of Glass Feb. 9 -10 and Feb. 11 - 12, 2007. The first two day class will cover focal pendants. The second class will be marbles and some sculpture. Visit Carlisle's website for registration and further details. I will also be teaching a 5 day intensive workshop at the Revere Glass School in Berkeley, Ca. March 19 - 23, 2007. This class will begin with focal pendants and jewelry design, transition to marbles, and end with sculptural designs. The intention is to piggy back techniques in order to drive home the main points and to expand one's repetoire of skills. Visit Dustin Revere's website for further details.
Thank you for taking the time to look. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or ordering

Nice Reticello marble. It really took longer than I expected, because of the injury to my finger. All in all, it turned out nice. Did not finish it because I ran out of gas, so the dots on the back were not twisted. Oh well, I still like this one. Thank you for looking. JDAnderson

This summer I was hired to deomonstrate marble making at the Virginia Highlands Festival. So, I spent about two months heavily focused on a variety of marble designs. Here are some of my favorite reversals and a switch-back (wig-wag) from the endeavor.
In addition, I will be teaching at Carlisle School of Glass Feb. 9 -10 and Feb. 11 - 12, 2007. The first two day class will cover focal pendants. The second class will be marbles and some sculpture.
