~My First Time~

I first started working boro in the early fall of'97.I finally got to play with some soft glass a couple of years later .
In the '99-'00 area ,I'm not really all that certain when exactly, but this is what i came out with....the clear cup is literaly the first time i touched soft glass (aside from grabbing a gob on a pipe and letting it fall,to feel the consistancy of the material).
The blue one i made right after the clear one.I made these totaly solo...with supervision from my friend who's shop it was..I thought it was pretty decent for my first time...
Thanks for looking.

thanks to henry and susan for the colour.

Out of boredom and lack of anything else to do at the moment -i'll post some more old random stuff.
Not sure when i made this ,but its a couple few years old.
The pix are terrible ,of coarse ,but the piece is o.k.-it'd look great with some real photos.
There's a little silver fume on the cup and foot-and some little trumpet flowers, buds and leaves.

"caberNOLA" (carbon graal)

(MatthewEskuche)
as a follower of trends, i'm now thinking twice about using my hands solo. in this land of 0's and 1's, twosies are forging new paths where the road plys.

such darling duos, i say! the colourful coupling of so many side-by-side silicists has started a swordfight of sweet fire and ice in my soul, or is it loins? only the marvelous marriage at the junction of twindom and tandemnation can quell the dazzling duets of Two plus one minus one. wouldn't you corroborate?

in short, i double down for bi-design's rich bounty.

I really enjoy making goblets. Maybe it has something to do with how much fun people have using them. Some of these are a few years old some are more recent. I've been going with the hollow stems in order to make full use of what lamping has to offer.A few shop pics to boot.
Saki Set

Saki Set

(DeMoss)
They were working it in front of the camera...that's why there are so many different poses.

So I didn't realize that traditionally there is no handle on a saki set....oh well.

It's been fun making this style lately, the hollow twisting donut that is. The colors I used are red exotic, blue luster and a touch of obtainium. I really enjoy the exotic colors for there random coloration characteristics. This set is intended to be a wedding gift. Thanks for looking.

Goblets are great and are even better in pairs.....what better thing to get commissioned then making wedding cups? I don't know but I love the fact that they are being made for a couple in love and will be truly treasured through the times......

the broken serpent

the broken serpent

(clyzo)
this was my first attepemt at an oil lamp. it is suspended on the neck of a serpent. i was disappointed when it broke in halve the next day, i could have fixed it so no one had ever known it had broken , but instead i decided to accent the brake. it to me signifies change amidst adversity. our world around us is fragile we must treat it delicately. also from one side the serpent apeares broken and from another side the serpent seams to be whole, representing the duality of nature , tell me what you think.?
