light fixtures ready for assembly

light fixtures ready for assembly

(BenjaminAllen)
I'm working on my first chandelier, and these are two of the light fixtures for the steel frame. The blue footed vase was made in Oct. 04 and prompted the idea for the entire project. The blue and black lights are footless and have holes drilled in the bottom for attachment. This is a work in progress.

This is an early attempt at a tumbler with techniques I learned from Cameron Smith and Jan Thomas. It was made in 2001 at the Do U Glass Hot Shop in Murphysboro Illinois.

This is the only image I have of things I've made, But I hope to add more images as time permits.

4 Section Drinking Cup or a Vase Top

The colors use for this piece were NS Onyx and GA Aqua Azul. The piece measures about 6" tall and about 4" wide at the top. This piece was also made after the R.M. demo between the bowl and the footed bowl. Using the Aqua Azul 4mm rods on the outside saved me allot of time on this one. Much Love to GA for the 4mm,6mm,10mm selection they are offering.

Hi my name is Cameron Douglas, here are some samples of my style of glass work. I like to harness the raw fluid nature of glass, letting the medium express itself with colour form and texture. These 'Punga' vessels are blown into a hollow tree stump to achieve the natural textural effect.

This is the center piece for the stoppered bottle set I made a few weeks ago. This one was a wedding present for my buddy that purchased the set of 3 bottles. I look forward to getting a pic of the entire grouping.
Recycled Art Glass Vases

Recycled Art Glass Vases

(Sun-Toys)
Vases blown from recycled studio art glass - a lot of it was iridized. We found that when we strike the piece with a reduced flame we would get beautiful patterning somtimes representing what appear to be storm scenes on the exterior.

Pieces have the appearance of glazed stoneware.

Paperweight Vase

Paperweight Vase

(ChristopherRich)
The vases in my Paperweight series are created with multiple vivid colors of glass applied to the base color bubble. I mix the colors into an abstract pattern that suits my fancy, then add a thick layer of clear glass to magnify and intensify the design. Each piece is very heavy, with the feel and effect of a large glass paperweight, but shaped as a vase or bowl. For more images see http://www.richgl...
