The Nature Inspired series was originally inspired by drawings of plants and animals that live in the ocean. Living in land-locked Colorado but being a water person this series just had to be expressed.

This grouping of pieces is a series I have worked on for many years. Each one is a portrait, a glimpse of an individual. Uniquely my interpretation of that moment in time. A mold is taken directly from a person's face and the glass is slumped over the mold in a kiln. Like Tiffany used with his lamps I use the copper foil technique to solder the piece together one piece at a time.
