The Font of my Youth

"The Font of my Youth" is a collaborative work inspired by childhood memories of the ritual of baptism into the catholic church. This piece measures 11 inches wide and about 14 inches tall, it is a lampworked piece created by Jonathan and Tosha Fischbach using blown and networking techniques, done in clear and colored glass, and is being showcased at the Kittrell Riffkind Art Glass Gallery in Dallas. http://www.kittrellriffkind.com/title.php?ititlenum=10024112 Thank You for enjoying our work. 2nd Annual Great Canadian Glass Gathering

I'm stoked to announce and invite y'all to the 2nd Annual Great Canadian Glass Gathering, held july 24,25,26 on Redbeards farm above Pemberton, BC. (1 hr. from Whistler--bring your mtn. bike) Last year we had over 30 glassblowers raging on 16 stations, and this year we plan on making it bigger and better. check our website: www.greatcanadianglassgathering.com we'll be announcing our featured guests and demos soon, this will be a great chance to meet and network with fellow glass heads, store owners, and suppliers. There'll be Door prizes, contests, flame-offs, there's a silent auction for a local charity, and an art show on sunday to show n' sell off our goodies . we'll have entertainment on the stage, food & drink available (at decent prices!!) and the campground is onsite. we're hammering out the budget, but it looks like it'll be about $150 for participating blower(covers all gas & glass), and 50/spectator (camping & entertainment) we are hoping to lower this cost as we get more sponsors....... THIS IS A NON-PROFIT EVENT, any leftover moneys will cover next years event, with a donation to a local charity (Team Earth) for more info, to rsvp, and check out last year's pics, visit the wesite www.greatcanadianglassgathering.com you don't want to miss this!! we had soooo much fun last year. (no pemberton fest this year to mess up traffic, either) so.....who's coming???? *text sniped from P. stratis*

Seascape - Reef Series

getting in the mood for summertime. I love this time of year. I started this series in memory of the fish in my reef tank I had for last 2 years. But recently had to move and get rid of it. so sad.

Venetian Style Chandelier

Had an order for a customized Venetian chandelier. This piece gave me A LOT of trouble. Didn't think I'd have so many problems but it's difficult to make all the arms exactly the same. Figured it'd be good for me to try something a bit more traditional. 45"W x 30"H

Da Bomb

Little perfume explosion, perhaps? Some terrorism of the scentses? small bottle using some of Joe Imler's Glow Stix, swirlees dot com. Good fun to use and Joe's a pleasure to deal with. body in onyx with reflective mirror gold fume which is hard to capture with a crappy little camera and only one light .... my other light exploded not long ago ... cheers!
