Haven't made too many in awhile. Same as they ever was. 2-1/16"

I made a number of these eye marbles a ways back. Used to make them with "Kimble" brand boro that was discontinued in 2003. I have heard from some folks that I can't make them now that the "fume friendly" Kimble does not exist. While the treatment of the newer Kimble (post '03) is different and the results are not quite the same. It is very possible to still make these eye marbles. This one is Kimble on the front and Simax on the back. This is the largest I have made to date. Still a challenge.

Semper Fidelis

This was a wonderfully fun piece to make. It was requested by a serviceman as a gift to his father recently when I was in Oklahoma at a show. It stands about 7" tall, and is solid and blown clear borosilicate with gold plating on a Manzanita base. I am posting this in honor of our serviceman and women currently stationed around the globe. Thanks for Looking. Jon "The Glass Fish".

Lion of Juda murrine by Strobel

I dont normally post individual murrine, but this one I think deserves it. Most murrine take me a day or two to make, this one took five full days. The lion in the flag is the same one that's in the chip next to it. An afterthought: I owe big props to Mike Warren for his first lion way back in 98? I was moved by his work so much, I started making murrine the next month. PROPS TO OLDSCHOOL!

Sabina/Snodgrass Collabs

These are a tribute to Death and Rebirth! And they are really hard to photograph because half the fun of these are turning them and seeing all the hidden angles of the skull. These were so much fun to make! Hope you like them! Sabina

"What the *bleep* is that, master ???"

"That's an Acklay, padawan!"... this is based on one of the monsters from the Geonosis arena scene of SW EpII. It's 18" diagonally across and just scraped into my little day kiln.

La Familia

A Mothers Day gift. This is a family tree meant to depict my immediate family. The two spheres on the top branches, or main trunk of the tree, represent my parents. The second branch, my sister, her husband and their two kids. The third branch is me, and this is where this piece got interestingly introspective. The optomist sees budding branches with plenty of room for growth. The realist sees separation, and the remains of branches that didnt survive the cold winters of life... 16 x 18 x 14 at the base
