Betulla Jive

'Betulla Jive' is the first in a series of Star Wars inspired creatures. I was intrigued by the creatures singing and dancing. The complete piece, including her stained cedar stage, velveteen curtain and rod, measures 11.5" tall by 12" wide by 5.25" deep. Betulla measures 6" tall by 3.5" wide.

Torch fire vitreous enamel

I cut the flowers and leaves from copper foil (36 gauge). I cut the wires I use to the lengths I need. Then I braze the wire to the copper. This is a very delicate operation. I shape the cut copper. I mix the vitreous enamel with a holding agent and a little rubbing alcohol. I apply the enamel (wet) to the formed copper shapes. Let it dry completely and then heat it to 1400-1500 F. with my Acetylene torch. After the enameled pieces are cooled, I arrange how I want it and braze it together

Hate Me

Lyrics by Blue October: I have to block out thoughts of you so I donít lose my head They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that Iím alone Playing movies in my head that make a porno feel like home There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in my brain An ounce of peace is all I want for you. Will you never call again? And will you never say that you loved me just to put it in my face? And will you never try to reach me? It is I that wanted space Hate me today Hate me tomorrow Hate me for all the things I didnít do for you Hate me in ways Yeah ways hard to swallow Hate me so you can finally see whatís good for you Iím sober now for 3 whole months itís one accomplishment that you helped me with The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing I wonít touch again In my sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night While I was busy waging wars on myself, you were trying to stop the fight You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate You made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take So Iíll drive so fucking far away that I never cross your mind And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind Hate me today Hate me tomorrow Hate me for all the things I didnít do for you Hate me in ways Yeah ways hard to swallow Hate me so you can finally see whatís good for you And with a sad heart I say bye to you and wave Kicking shadows on the street for every mistake that I had made And like a baby boy I never was a man Until I saw your blue eyes cry and I held your face in my hand And then I fell down yelling ďMake it go away!Ē Just make a smile come back and shine just like it used to be And then she whispered ďHow can you do this to me?Ē Hate me today Hate me tomorrow Hate me for all the things I didnít do for you Hate me in ways Yeah ways hard to swallow Hate me so you can finally see whatís good for you For you For you For you

Colorblind Patchworks

Here's a Stash new Patchworks going up on ebay this evening around 5PM Arizona Time (Yes, it's different than everybody else's!). These remind me of those Colorblind Charts they make you look at, at the Eye Doctor. I rarely name my marbles, but this week's work was very inspiring. Thanks for looking, Hope ya'll enjoy. Josh.

Bonsai Crassula ovata

Commonly known as jade plant, friendship tree or Money Plant, Crassula ovata is a succulent plant that sometimes has small pink or white flowers and is common as a houseplant worldwide. The plant itself can be identified with thick branches and smooth, rounded and fleshy leaves that grow in opposing pairs along the branches. The species has a jade green color to the leaves, and some species can also develop a red tinge on the edges of leaves when exposed to high levels of sunlight. The growth pattern and structure of the succulent is evenly distributed. The jade plant lends itself easily to the bonsai form and is popular as an indoor bonsai

Gremlin Jellyfish Marbles

Here are a few jellyfish I have turning out lately. I really like them because each one is totally different from the last one and they look just like a real jellyfish trapped inside a marble. Be sure to check out my latest eBay auctions to purchase some of these.

Emo Girls

I rented some time at New Dynasty Glass in Falls Church Virginia. It was awesome, i met so many glassblowers and learned alot. I made 6 new bottles and this time decided to try something different and fresh. The images were created using the disc flip process and weren't "painted". Finnaly got around to updating the pics. Some of em were in the spring 2009 edition of The Flow!! so stoked.
