Dragon Gem Glass bottles

this was my first perfume bottle. I like to be different if I can so I make my stoppers a little funky. My perfume bottles usually measure about 2 inches tall. These bottles are all made from Caliente Art Glass. The little red one with the frog (my first frog) was my first bottle and the rest soon followed and more will definatley be made!

Bad Girls Rated R!

Well in glass, anyways.....Still praticing what I learned in Lorens Class. Lately Im hooked on the Venician Sculpting. I am trying to get the form down. So heres bunch of pics in my album of my army of woman. I have been sculpting them out of moretti. I havent put them in the kiln because they are just pratice pieces. I like the outcome of them so I think I will start putting them in the kiln. I figured if I sculpt her right she wont fall apart. If I dont, she will fall apart anyways and break even if I put her in the kiln. I am moving along faster than I thought..... They are addicting. I ment to put a ribbon in her hand and forgot to mash the blob for the ribbon effect before the pull. She ended up lookin like she was holding a whip. I laught about this, so I went with chicks with whips theme. The last one is my favorite. I made her hand flickin a bird .She is sayin "F&%* Y&*!!!" with a whip. So funny! I should be making beads but these bad girls keep haunting me to sculpt them.

spiral glass geode

Woah... It's been a long time since I've posted. I actually made this somewhere between August and October 2006. It still needs to be polished a little bit more which is why I've delayed posting pics. It's a little too big for my current lap wheel so I'm not sure when it will get its final polishing. I decided to post pics anyways... It weighs 6 oz. and stands just over 4.5 inches tall. Originally it was much taller but had some cracks in the bottom and I had to grind off more than I wanted to.

Kalahari Lioness

Taking the idea further, I have been researching each animals enivironment, trying to reproduce what would be native in their land. Also adding moon and stars to the night sky. These are alot of fun not just making the marble, but the fun facts- this one is a Kalahari lioness with a Camelthorn tree and shrubs. I have 5 canvas' left 3 Safari's and 2 Scuba's, I have a long weekend of blasting ahead of me, next post will be of the batch. Thanks for taking the time....

Monster Marble

This was a test to see how big of a marble I could make with a nortel mid range. It is 2" in dia. You could probably go a little bigger, but it would take hours.
