Fun with Cubic Zirconia

I have a bunch of pink CZ's given to me by my generous aunt, Kathleen. I have been working out different ways to use them with borosilicate glass, since they cannot be encased like you can do with soft glass. Here's what I have come up with so far.......

Trilobite Thrice

These are three fossilized trilobites made with custom stands. Two are made with aurora and one with jet black. Each are a combination of at least three different trilobites combined. Asphiscus Wheeleri is the main influence threw out. The first aurora trilobite was a custom order for a good friend. The other two went to Chico,Ca. They are at least 6 inches tall by 4 inches wide. I hope you enjoy them. * A reminder that The Museum of the Earth. A Paleontological Reseach Institution in Trumansburg Rd, Ithaca,Ny will be holding a exhibition of my work Jan. 29 -May.29 2011. My work will be focused around fossilized trilobites, ammonites, crinoids and the museums trade mark dinosaur Coelophysis excaved in 1947 around Ghost Ranch,New Mexico. I have worked on this for over a year. I hope you can make it.Thanks for looking.
