Sometimes you feel blue...

I made this a few months ago, just getting around to posting it...one of my favorites. Flameworked boro, sandblasted and spraypainted. Just over 10 inches long, 4.5 wide and almost 5 high. Thanks to Premier Skateboarding for the support and letting me take up some wall space. A big thank you to Bearclaw for inspiring me to make heads and faces. Thanks for looking.

Table lamp

Figured I'd try a table lamp. Built like my chandeliers with a welded steel frame. Wasn't so stoked on it at first but now I kinda like it.

Moon, Bush Clover & Bellflower Beads

Combination of moon, bush clover and bellflower is Japanese traditional pattern for autumn. Actually Japanese bush clover and Japanese bellflower bloom in different season. Bellflower blooms in summer. But I hope the pattern is beautiful.

Woodland Orchid

I just love collecting goodies from nature when I'm walking through our beautiful northwoods. When I came upon this unique knot hole it immediately inspired me to create a piece of glass and an orchid just seemed to be the natural answer.

2008 - 10 "Carved opal weight with uranium implosion"

This larger piece was a custom order/ challenge, and turned out to be a lot of fun. The center has an implosion with uranium dots under gold and silver fume. There is a large Gilson opal in the center, and a multi colored dichroic vortex in the background. The piece is layered with concentric rings of reds, ambers, and corals. A diamond wheel was used to carve a star around the cold worked face, revealing a pattern within the color. The weight is oval shaped and textured and fumed on the back for an organic feel. This piece measures approx 4" x 2 3/8".
