cobalt blue oil lamp 10/31/2006

Blue tubing, had the four "arms" laying around for a while and didn't know what to do with them. I had no direction and this is what came out! This is my first post on this site. Happy Halloween! Thanks for looking!

Bashi & Cuatro Marble Collaboration

This marble was a blast to make, I decided to leave the seam clear so you can see each pattern overlapping from either side. Bashi made the silver dot implosion, and I did the fume twist/bubble/eye side and the pinwheel middle. One of the coolest things about this marble is the crazy solar kaleidoscope effect, depending on how you hold it in the light you can get many different colored projections to occur, this spawned a whole new area of exploration for me. Collaborating rules! Thanks for looking.

Adventures in Faux Boro

I had a play with "faux boro" - an effect in soft glass which give the effect of Borosillicate glass. It happens with the use of iris gold & straw yellow stringers. I so adore this effect!

Switchbacked canne work

More off-hand switchback work, old pics. I had these glasses with me at AGI. They were made in the '06 summer, messing around with some free time.

More uranium stuff, just trying with encalmo's. Over all the form is kind of a turd. My bubble was the wrong shape for a low bowl, oh well. Dee De Dee

Glass textiles

Hello again! It has been a while, but I've been very busy. After the International Glass Art Fair in Holland things turned out quite well for me, and more and more Galleries line up to expose my work.... It has been a big surprise for me, but I'm curious what you think about it.... Greetz from the Netherlands. David
