Gold and Silver Glass Cab Necklace

Glass cab by Chris Roesinger and metalwork by Jason Burruss. This is the first cab medallion that I used gold and added a chain. I made all the links in the chain and put them all together. The gold accents go good with dark cabs. Check out my website at www.jandkdesigns.net. I also do custom orders for other glass-blowers. I also added a new medallion with a gemstone.

Glass Art Jewelry by Glass Dreamz

Working with glass began as a hobby. I had a small torch at home and would create beads, or as I like to call them, little sculptures. I have a BA in art and have always been a creative person, but I never felt the kind of passion and drive that I get internally when I work with glass. I quickly upgraded to a larger torch and invested in a kiln to provide the glass with a better cooling process, which in turn makes the glass more durable. I use moretti glass for the beads. I only use high quality sterling silver for clasps, chains, and spacer beads. Occasionally I buy small glass beads to use as spacers. The process of creating a piece of artwork, or jewelry, begins with ideas sparked from popular culture, colors, and fashion design. My creation process is nonstop because there are always new and creative ideas everywhere. To view more Glass Art Jewelry from Glass Dreamz Artist Leah Tangredi go to http://www.glassdreamz.com

Encased Art, Soldered Glass Pendants

I create a piece of mini piece of art, from images, I gather from: Recycled/Vintage:Magazines, ads, labels, food packaging, maps, etc. My photography, graphically enhanced. Found objects: Cards, faded flyers on walls and polls, scraps of all kinds. I place the art between two pieces of glass. I prefer recycled glass, for ex.: Used microscope slides & rescued art glass, mainly beveled window pieces. Next I foil and solder the piece, using a lead free, s. silver based, solder. A silver pendant attatchment, or an "O" ring is attatched at the top. Sometimes, a mini wire sculputure, a "bead dangle", decorative metal piece, or vintage rhinestones are used as embelishments. I place the pendant on either: a metal ball chain, a "rosary style" chain I bead on silver wire, or a "ReVamped" piece I make with rescued, vintage & new beads.

Glass Cabochon Medallions w/ Gemstones

I decided to add large gemstones to these two cabs. The colors and shapes went perfectly together. I was afraid they would get too large but I think the sizes are perfect. These are for sale on my website at www.jandkdesigns.net. I also do wholesale orders for glass-blowers who are interested in collaborating. Contact me for details.
