Glowing Copper Weights

I love leaving the studio at night and looking back into the darkness and seeing all these glowing weights.These paperweights are made with glow powder,copper shavings,and soft glass.

My old photo set-up

I was fortunate to have a small room in the basement of my old house, originally intended for coal storage, which I dedicated to photographing my work. It worked rather well for being so simple.

These tubes are made using traditional neon tube bending techniques and filled with neon, argon, or xenon (the snaky ones) No two tubes are exactly alike.
