I have always loved and experimented with art in one form or another, but glass is the medium that feeds my soul.I love working with glass so much because it's rewarding, frustrating, challenging, amazing, wonderful and magical stuff.

I've been working with glass for seven years now and feel I have barely scratched the surface of what I want to learn.
Lately i've been exploring off mandrel sculpture work. I'm very interested in doing some floral sculpture and other sculptures from nature.
I hope you enjoy checking out my work!

After studying vintage resin fruit necklaces I was interested in making my own glass version. It took time to come up with the right combination of fruit to make a design that had the right color combination.

Winter Garden Sculpture

Winter Garden Sculpture

It was difficult to create a winter scene in 90 degree weather. This is forth in a four part sculpture set I was commisioned to make. Each sculpture is approx. 10x10 inches. Made with COE 96 and 104 glass.
I needed to create a winter like the southern coastal winters here. Made very icy(hey, it's rare, but it does happen!), with glass oyster, and other shells as an accent.I couldn't get the camera to pick up the white flowers, they look like big white blobs in the photo.

Glass Studio Gone to the Birds

Glass Studio Gone to the Birds

Each year I save all my extra lampwork to decorate a birdhouse for, Habitat for Humanities Annual Birdhouse Auction. This will be my forth year doing this. The top of the roofline is decorated with fish. Out of the top of the fish is copper wire flower stems topped off with flowers dangling around.
